I agree with you with some few clarification/additions/update. As for Asylum it is not even about 70-80% refusal rate. Since the Rwanda bill is passed into law, UK is no longer granting asylum within the UK. The best way to be deported to Rwanda is to apply for Asylum in the UK at the moment. It's straight deportation to Rwanda. Then your asylum will processed there in Rwanda. And it can takes forever for it to be granted. Many people have been deported earlier this week and many asylum seekers have been arrested. In fact some clever asylum seekers have run into underground or rabbit hole. Some have even moved to the nearest European country which is Ireland to start afresh. Now back to the study visa, honestly it is not a bad thing for people applying to UK for study. I have said it many times provided the candidates have enough money for school fees, rent and other bills. It's good for career advancement, exposure and quality education. But the problem is for people coming to study, who struggled to gather initial 30% deposit and POF thinking that they will balance up while in the UK (without any dependent). Even when the dependent game was on many struggle to get Thier ROI, but now that no more dependent on most study visas, it's next to impossible to pay balance of the fees, live, and get any ROI as a student in the UK. I don't blame the potential students and country people, the major culprits are The Student recruiters based in the UK. They are fellow Nigerian students who are paid to entice/decieve fellow student to come to the UK. They are everywhere like devil 😈 looking who to steal from and destroy. The second category of these recruiters are these people recruiting people for Tech courses. Some of them have been recruited here in the UK as a student and they are spreading lies to people that once you attended a paid training from Thier sponsor 😀 in the UK. You will get sponsorship in tech. Lol. U can get a position with sponsorship in tech is you are good enough from Naija, you can even get a tech nation visa etc. Indian dominated tech and ICT. Most of them are shipped to uk directly from Mumbai! The next set of people are some (Not all) visa agents. These people have nothing to lose. They are middle men. Thier job is to help you apply for visa and cash out. They will always push people since they have nothing to lose. They will cash out. They are also everywhere. Please note we have some of them that are good. Not all that are bad. Japa is good. Some of us have japa since 2017 and no regrets, many have japa decades before me. But it is important to be prepared and do a thorough risk assessment/age analysis. If it's fine by you. Make the move 😁 fullclub: 2 Likes |

lexybaba1234: Ireland asylum don cast like UK own so the best is to cross to other EU countries using ur BRP then from that country cross by train to another country EU countries then seek asylum. Maybe from Austria then cross by train to Germany and claim asylum. Before it was from Belfast in Northern Ireland then by uber to Ireland Dublin. But now they are threatening to deport them back to UK as they now found out. Please note that this option is the last option before thinking of returning back to Nigeria. UK is sweet if u have the money and if u have full time working visa. But on the extreme is student visa that limits u totally to jobs. Employers go just ask for ur share codes and once it return 20 hours limit to work that's the end. For those people convincing people to come to UK and even have another handle or contact for POF na God go judge them. They should be open and explain things to people let them be aware of things on ground. Me personally the Nigerian school agent was the one telling me to do POF and then I was telling him that I don't think I have sufficient money. He said I better do fast before dependant go close. Although I came with dependant but to be honest it hasn't be easy. 2 Likes |

fullclub: If life is not easy in someone’s Fatherland I wonder the magic they expect going to a foreign land to start afresh without having anyone. Japa is not for everyone! Try and equip yourself with the right skills so when that desired job opening opens you will be called for an interview. I wonder why people thing they can just break in and make it within a year. Some Nigerians don't ask the right questions. All they care about is that you are able to save money but they won't ask the HOW? 1 Like |

MrSoftlife: The right skills we overlook here that's what pays in abroad. If I can rewind the time I will learn carpenter & wood joinery , bricklaying, or even plumber. Learn this skills very well n get certified here in Nigeria before considering Japa. People are just shouting data analysis, programming etc. If u need fast job where no crowd is then one must learn this three skills I mentioned above. They even give visa sponsorship in this area wella. 5 Likes |

tensazangetsu20: The "no job" issue in my opinion can be managed depending on the location, finances, family or friends willing to help. However, the biggest detterent to anyone coming to the U.K now should be the government policies which leaves me wondering if folks don't read the news, want to try their luck or intend using the U.K as a transit point. If the latter is the case, no problem. Otherwise going to the U.K now is not a smart decision. The recent immigration policies are just the government saying "we want you here, spending your hard-earned money on our system and then we kick you out". Yet the discourse is around "no job, no job". I'm surprised to be honest. 1 Like |

U guys be aware that it's now extremely difficult to stay back in UK after 2yrs postgraduate visa. This is because work sponsorship is now very difficult especially with the recent update on the care visa which used to be the target of most students. Even if u are a student presently in UK with your dependants, to retain your dependants in UK after the 2years post study is tough because even if the main applicant gets a care visa, the dependants are not covered, except u get some other work visas. Moreso, post study visa is now about 3k pounds and each dependant will be separately asides the main applicant. Beware before u japa! 4 Likes |

fastseo:I got admission in university of hull too but i had C6 in English Language so they mailed me back that they accept C5 for postgraduate and C6 for undergraduate, so i should provide ielts 6.5 as English requirement. Am looking towards care job because I have 3 years experience as a caregiver here in Nigeria and I have done an online diploma course in Caregiving, and i also did my nysc in Federal Medical Center so am thinking of using that experience for Health assistance jobs. My course includes a work placement, should getting a trainee position be that difficult as a postgraduate student already in the field. |

Vikkystar: Why is hull setting high requirements like that?what about other courses? Most Nig in hull till date haven't paid anything aside their deposit and the school no trouble them. Secondly I have a friend who is a registered nurse Bsc with her RN. Mide wife. She couldn't break through care assistant because of UK experience. Right now she does 10hrs cleaning per week job They value UK experience more than anything. But if u can get an agency that can train and give u shift then with that experience gotten from UK u can break through. The koko na UK experience. Me self don find care tire. Did some training on flowrence. |

williams20: Thanks for this William. And @yomifola. Very helpful. I do have another question. This is around currency fluctuation. On the day the required amount (for school fees, accommodation/living costs) was deposited in her account, an extra 20% was added, to proactively cushion any exchange rate fluctuations. As of today, due to currency fluctuation, that amount no longer meets the required amount when converted to GBP. My questions: * what is the best way to handle this issue * if more funds are added to her account today, will she have to wait another 28 days before applying for her visa? * if more funds are added to her account today, and she goes ahead to apply for her visa, would it help to take snapshots of the oando rates, with dates, and write a letter to explain the currency fluctuation? * does the currency exchange rate on the 1st day of the 28 days matter, would it help if supported by showing the oando rate on that day? This is really a dilemma. |

oohunt: So sorry about your current situation. For all 28 days the funds needed must not be lower than each day's rate and then the rate on the date of submission is equally vital. in this case now calculate the difference and pay additional deposit to school and have them issue an updated CAS |

Urgent please! If you have to do POF before CAS issuance, do you have to do for your dependant you want to go with? Mind you, a new POF is intended to be made for visa application. |
