Jogs1900: There was no billionaire even in the 70s. I doubt there was any even in the 80s. It is easier to be a billionaire today than in those days. In 1979 for example the entire GDP of NIgeria was less than $50b. In 1971 it was less than $10b. In 1965 the GDP of the entire country was $5b!! Very rich does not mean you are a billionaire, the and now. Though it is easier now. Below is historical GDP of Nigeria. 6 Likes

Afamed: Really?!! Bury Peter Obi to what end exactly?!! Will that make his employer (the Dubai landlord) any closer to winning the next election?!! Will burying Obi's political ambition make over 70 million Nigeria less hungry or poor?!! Will the demise of one man's political career suddenly make the nation less retrogressive?!! Reno has only one goal... And that is to get Peter Obi to acknowledge his near worthless existence. 2 Likes |

Afamed:Reno Omockery has found the Yoruba mumu button which is to condemn, attach anything related to Igbos using fake references and lies. Let it sink into your empty, hate filled brain that Sir Louis Ojukwu was the first richest person in Nigeria and there is nothing you nor your Twitter god Omockery can do about it cos it's a fact recorded by the whole world. https://www.forbesafrica.com/wealth/2017/08/07/small-town-super-rich/ https://punchng.com/old-money-10-super-rich-men-of-independence-era/ 1 Like |

Beremx: Reno has one game plan... Curry favor from Northern and South-western top political elites and their followers by constantly attacking Peter Obi and his tribesmen. It's called Divide and Rule! Funny how people actually believe the man is upright and full of godliness. Well, his followers are not very intelligent. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Talabi Adebayo Braithwaite - never knew this man was that rich as at 1965. No wonder he owned a good number of the properties on Osborne, one of which he gave to Lagos State as the Dep Governor's lodge. Respect, TAB, The Insurance Doyen! 10 Likes 1 Share |

The article merely cited some of the wealthiest people, not the wealthiest person. Someone who knows Reno should tell him that Britain is not a credible source for history, especially black history (not because they don't know) because they have so much skeleton in their cupboard to protect. You'll understand this when you study history from black perspective to the point you understand the politics of history. For example; the article has painted Britain as the pioneer of trade and exploration, thereby making the reader believe that African businessmen came from behind but Africans have explored Europe and created the sea routes to and fro Europe, thousands of years before Europeans learned how to go to sea. Europeans actually came from behind in international trade. Before Europeans learned international trade, Africans have run the show for ages! This was reported by Adam Smith in the book: wealth of nations. According to Adam Smith in his book; the wealth of nations, he said that the Portuguese ''had been endeavoring during the course of the 15th century to find out by sea a way to the countries from which the moors brought them ivory and gold across the desert'' but to no avail. It seems the moors kept the trade route and the source of their supply a secret. However, the Portuguese eventually succeeded and in the process of looking for the Moorish trade route, according to Adam Smith again, the Portuguese discovered ''Madeiras, the Canaries, the Azores, Cape Verde, Guinea, Loango, Congo, Angola, Benguela, and finally the Cape of good hope'' in South Africa. So, it was actually by trailing Africans who supplied commodities to Europe that Europeans found their way to West Africa. You'll never hear this in school. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
