drsibz66: That $300 to $500 the career saved in a month, is it not savings that will later be expended in that same economy. If I save in Nigeria, I save it to later spend in Nigeria, so same applies to the savings in the UK to be later spent in the UK. Stop tying your UK savings to a future Nigerian expenditure. 1 Like |

You think £1000 Is sane as #1000 naira? £50 will do a lot in feeding you in a month in UK. You want to live a life of luxury up there, you pay for it through taxes. 1 Like |

Neoteny:okay do how much the average nigeria spends on rent, food, transport, clothes, insurance, electricity, gas, entertainment. ill be watiing you guys sound like people in nigeria live in rent free houses and pick food from the ground. over there you live and feed well on average income and still have savings, you have all basics covered while the average income in nigeria cant buy a bag of rice. |

achorladey:I largely agree with your points. But see at some point we have to make comparisons. Foreign remittances are not necessarily chasing few goods at the moment. Practically speaking, Even with rising cost got goods in naija, What $1k or £1k did for me 10months ago is very small compared to what it does for me at the moment. I would like u to tell me why u say, not all remittance get to Nigeria. I don't get that part. Is it missing along the transfer route? Relocating to UK in itself is not what will make u wealthy, it can however fetch you a pathway to plan for a super comfortable life in the very near and distant future. if you do things correctly 85 out of 100 times u will achieve this. Nigeria on the other is a place u can just become wealthy with the way things are, but from what I know the probability of that happening is 30%(less if we are being honest) 1 Like |

2Radii:But in Nigeria, the growth in people's expenditure is exponential while they r not really stepping up any ladder. Meanwhile if minimal social vices, ready made amenities are available in UK, that is a huge part of what constitute quality/standard of living. Those 2 things u call ONLY, those are the things a lot of people want want in this life, and they will have peace and live happily forever with their loved ones. |

StOla:lol 500 or 6000 euros per year is a huge money in the uk. you can use it to pay for your mortage towards owning a house or even save it to buy a second hand car. you can get a car for 7k euros. or even save and start a side hustle. for you mind, the money wont be valuable in the uk. lol. 1 Like |

dopedan:even if you're begger in the uk you can buy biycle you think biycle is anything to them. one weekly wage will account for that. stop saying shit except the person is not interested in buying one. all those things you mentioned are done by ordinary people over there not by extreme rich people only. there are elephants doing well in the wild doesnt imply that most of them aren't about to go out of extinction. 1 Like |
