Okpa aroma/smells alone is a turn of for me, while moi-moi aroma invites from afar... Like you don't know moi-moi comes in different classes of your income. Have you tasted fried moi-moi with accompanying various proteins before...? 1 Like |

KosiGee:Thank you.okpa ekwulobia is classic. Enugu okpa has nothing on it. That was what introduced me to okpa. Moimoi ekwulobia is also unique. Okpa ekwulobia has loads of crayfish and is made with palm concentrate unlike Enugu okpa though, Enugu okpa( notably obeleafor people, don't know if I got it right) are the real face behind Enugu state okpa. Their red oil is the best in Nigeria. There is a reason why their red oil is the best. That's a story for another day. |

AbokiWam:Both are made from different ingredients and taste different. I don't see any point in comparison. I love both dearly, but hot moi moi? It purges me. |

Okpa can easily be downplayed in favor of moimoi cos not everyone knows how to prepare it and it's also not as popular as moimoi. Before making comparison, be sure to to have tasted that 9th mile ngwo corner okpa. 3 Likes 1 Share

First few times image Okpa i didn't like it but after a while I got used to it. Okpa are the kinds of food that you fall in love after a while ..it's hardly love at first sight because Okpa's taste is not garnished with ingredients like moi moi... Without maggi, onions, palm oil and fish Moi moi will be totally tasteless unlike Okpa that is only has a bit of palm oil added to it and salt to taste. Okpa is way more nutrional and healthier than moi moi....The Bambara not from which Okpa is made is considered the most complete food in the world. Okpa is great for weightloss and also helps the gut health. As a health enthusiast I will go for Okpa of course moi moi is also a healthy legume but Okpa all the way 1 Like 1 Share |

Okpa is tasteless....tried it once , in the late 90's .....And I regretted eating it..... Compare that tasteless Okpa with Moin moin is like comparing Sleep and death. 1. Moin moin elede 2. Moin moin eleyin 3. Moin moin eleja ( especially with smoked Mackerel) or with dried herring ( eja shawa) 4. Moin moin elepo 5. Moin moin olororo 6. Baked sardine moin moin 1 Like |

Hmmmm, before one can conclude, one should look at the nutritional value both can offer to the body, not just saying Okpa is better than moimoi. |
Re: Opinion: Okpa Is Better Than Moi Moi by Iykenuwa(m): 9:47pm On May 05 |
As someone who loves both delicacies, here are the facts as I know: 1. Moin moin is tastier. 2. Okpa, once you fall in love with it, there is no going back. 3. Preparation of Okpa is far more complicated compared to Moin moin. I have had Okpa bought for me all the way from Enugu/Anambra to Lagos etc, but I can’t consider doing same for Moin moin (maybe because the latter is more readily available). No need for comparison, just enjoy both. 1 Like |

Re: Opinion: Okpa Is Better Than Moi Moi by darediamond(m): 10:05pm On May 05 |
emmy512:Now see the unnecessary complexity in your preparation of Okpa abi na OKPARA you won call am. MoiMoi or Oolele or Ole(do/do) is a straigthword but Highly Delicious Food especially if you Bombard it with Big Big Onions and use red oil (epo Pupa) and leaf to do the wrapping. Woo, Stick with your OKPARA, tongue different. |

AbokiWam:Nsukka okpa saved my life in UNN then prior to graduation. There is this set of people that sells OKpa around Abuja building side/ the road that leads to Abuja building. Once I eat OKpa and coke, I am fit for the day hectic study. |
