Marjoribanks: PSG are pursuing several strikers until the pen is put to paper I would say it's very premature to make that assumption. |

comodo: What's the relevance you are good one week and then rubbish for the whole season. Quality is about consistent continuous top level performances in club and league. They Chavez got beat in their last game 3-0 and the midfield maestro was taken off. Maybe he is too good that's why he got substituted. The week before they lost 3-1 and the midfield maestro scored his first goal 🥅 all season ⭐⭐ 1 Like

Icon4s: First of all you are fluid and elusive that's what is used to present disinformation and misinformation and to be honest outright lies. Please elder statesman as you are , your words should be garnished with wisdom and grace. You should talk about specifics and not your own perception self birthed view. What's my mission❓ again another nonsensical notion birthed from what , wisdom 🙈 You are using the , Psychology "illusory truth effect" , which is simply saying the same LIE all the time and 💬 it will believed to be TRUE. I know like many other when challenged to substantiate your position you will evade and hide . I challenge you elder to substantiate your position with specifics and details. |

During the 1992 Nations Cup opening match against Senegal, with the score tied at 1-1, Yekini missed a clear opportunity to pass to Siasia, who was facing an open net and with the opportunity to score a brace after a fantastic equalizer from him. Instead, Yekini opted to dribble past the goalkeeper, but the keeper managed to take the ball from his leg. Siaone appeared visibly frustrated and angry, leading some to speculate that Siasia intentionally failed to pass against the Ivorians as payback. I also believe that Siaone and Kanu did not play the same role for the Super Eagles. Siaone wore the number 9 jersey for a reason, indicating his position as more of a modern-day striker. Westerhof do not often paired him with Amokachi, while Kanu played alongside Amokachi. Kanu's role seemed to limit his goal contributions for the Super Eagles. Interestingly, whenever Siasia played, Yekini struggled to score. This could be attributed to Siasia's movement, which resembled that of a modern-day number 9. I liken his style to that of Iheanacho, which might explain why many coaches found it challenging to incorporate Siasia into their strategies both at Nantes and SE. Ironically, Kanu had similar issues at Arsenal. Of course, personally, I will take Kanu. Kanu was generational! Kog45: |

Marjoribanks:Whenever Siasia played Yekini struggled to score? Pls am not getting your point here cuz Siasia and Yekini partnership was one of the best till Siasia was dropped after Ivory Coast match pass saga…..pls go and watch eagles in 80s and early 90s…Yekini/Siasia was the longest pairing in eagles history. |

Marjoribanks:I think it happens in football especially when it comes to key passes, goal scorers sometimes need to be selfish but Siasia pass against Ivory Coast was painful one cuz Nigeria need that WC spot. 1 Like 1 Share |

I meant Siasia hardly assist Yekini. The same Siasia that did not make the 1988 and 1990 Nations Cup? Siasis came into limelight 1991/92. Kog45: 1 Like |

komekn: To win the U17 World Cup. To come south as the best player of the U17. To come out as the highest goalscorer in the U17. It means these players are special. Managing them is another part of the story. But when it comes to talent, they are special talents. Finito. 1 Like |

All our relay teams qualified yesterday except the female 4by400 who did not participate cos they are 12th placed in the World. The 12th position placed them in a comfortable position to qualify except something out of the ordinary happens. lol We broke the 4by400 mixed relay African Record! do4luv14: 1 Like |

mostob: That's one But you should know club will look at just one striker they will look at several strikers compare attributes, costs and what best suits their system and strategy. They will be looking at several forward players at the same time.

TheGoodJoe: I would disagree I've known Rhian Brewster since he was 14 and I thought he was good but not world class incredible. And he won the golden boot at U17 level for England. He is now languishing in Sheffield United trying to find relevance in a system that does not suit his skill set. Although he is laughing all the way to the bank decent wages after a £21 million transfer from Liverpool. |
