Topze: Good evening. Which blender is that? Also, have you tried using it blend beans or hard stuff? |
Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by Topze(m): 6:52am On Apr 28 |
adibo:Its a normal blender, for pepper not for beans. The ones you're referring to are mostly rated 1000w or more |

GerogeI:By "bypass" do you mean it wouldn't charge the batteries? What can you power with it when it bypasses the batteries? |
Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by GerogeI(m): 2:19pm On Apr 30 |
leTrizzle: Yes, Bypass means it stops monitoring battery voltage and stops battery charging function. All power from the panels will be sent to the load. What it will power depends on the power input from the solar panels and the suns intensity. If you are asking if its a limp mode, no its not a limp mode. I get more wattage out in bypass mode, because the system is not charging battery or bothering about the battery at all. 1 Like |

matify83:Well done boss, Pls, can I connect 3 300watt panel in parallel to a 60A pwm charge controller without Frying the controller. |
Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by Slightlyredneck: 8:09pm On May 15 |
olaztek:So long as the VOC of the panel is not larger than the max input PV voltage of the cc, you are good to go. |
Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by matify83: 2:29pm On May 18 |
olaztek: Yes but it is a waste of wattage as all the energy produced by the 3 panels in parallel is reduced to around 12 - 16 volt maximum and a summation of the current of each individual panel. I conducted an experiment of connecting 4 Canadian solar panels at 350w each [ all parallel] to a 60W pwm charge controller during the course of this post. The maximum charging current I ever recorded was 20A. With an mppt charge controller of same amperage, your current can go as high as 40 - 59A depending on the time of the day. Charging time is also reduced and you attain float charge even before 2pm daily. Always ensure that your batteries are fully charged before use. |

Please don't discourage people that money is ok for a small size solar he is looking for. . You better use that money and buy biscuit. If you don't have anything about 1.5M don't bother. [/quote] |

GerogeI: Good afternoon, how have you been? I saw that you used 30amps pwm charge controller for 3 x 300w panels My current set up is 30amps 2 x 170w panels. I am thinking of adding one 430w panel so I can power my 110w freezer during the day. Would you advice to get Mppt charge controller? Or I can stick with my 30amps charge controller based on your experience 12v system |
Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by GerogeI(m): 11:31am On May 24 |
mahkanjuh: Buy more panels first. Two 170w is equal to 1nos 300w almost. Your 30 amp can take 3nos 300W at 8 amps each. When you exceed this, buy 1 more to make it up to 120Volts in series, before you buy a large capacity MPPT Charge controller and Inverter, which can last you for years. 120 volts is usually the minimum operating volts for large capacity charge controllers. |

GerogeI: Boss, i have a 120Vdc 4000W hybrid inverter, I have connected 4 500W panel (in series). I just got a 1hp inverter AC. I want to use it (during the day). If i am to add new panels (lets say 4), would you suggest in series or parallel? Its SRNE inverter (24V 3.3Kw) Maximum Vdc is 500V |

mahkanjuh: I have a 300W panel (less than 6 months used). I stopped using when i did major upgrade on my inverter system It is for sale. I also have 60a MPPT charge controller, Alexa voice Inverter system (1.5Kw) |
Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by GerogeI(m): 8:25pm On May 24 |
bankoleabiodun3:You know high current gives more power loss than high voltage primarily due to heating. So theoretically it's better to max out your voltage in series before paring up in parallel. However, another more important reality is that most of us have dissimilar panels unlike peeps in first world countries, some older than others. A poor performing panel in series is like a choke on the whole system, throttling down current. In my set up, I like to identify similar poor panels and yoke them in parallel, while the best panels are in series. That way, no choking, and I do not throw the panel away. |

Yes, with 350k, you can install a solar panel system to power your 2 laptops, 2 fans, and other gadgets. The best type of solar panel for you would be a monocrystalline panel because it is efficient and has a long lifespan. Along with the solar panel, you will also need an inverter and a battery to store the energy. You can find these items at local solar energy stores or online marketplaces. Make sure to get quotes from different suppliers to ensure you get the best deal within your budget. |

GerogeI:. I' new here, but by convention, 300w panels means that volts will be 300/8 giving 37.5x 3 = 112.5, please i'm only trying to learn |

Datbadtguy: You really cannot. Lowest you can spend on panels to guarantee long-term battery life is like 150k. Anything lower won't be able to charge to float daily. Sachet inverters are like 100k. 100aH batteries are like 150k. That's already 350k and you haven't bought a charge controller, wires, breakers, labor. |
