O.5% or 0.005?

0.5% will strangulate the economy. That means for every N1 million transfer, there's a levy of N5,000. That's on top of other bank charges. This is an evil tax, no more, no less.

Also, why is the tax ring fenced for the National Security Adviser, when it should go into the national purse and budgeted to the NSA from there. This unholy scheme will make the NSA one of the most 'juicy' and corrupt offices in the land.

Did the Committee on multiple taxation approve this tax? All these multiple taxation will kill enterprise and lead to job losses as people will give up even trying to establish or run businesses.

Nigeria is the only country I know where the Central bank imposes taxes nilly willy. Neither the Bank of England nor the FED impose taxes. What is the job of the Ministry of Finance.

Nigeria is set up and run the wrong way.

Majority of Nigerians are cowards, they bark like mad dogs and don't pinch talk more of biting.
They will impose it and everybody will smile while grumbling inside, and that's the end, nothing will still happen.

OP, this doesn't amount to ALL transactions na. smiley

Nigeria is increasingly turning into a Wild West. Those your rulers they just believe they can do anything and get away with it - yes, they have been getting away with everything. I don't pity many Nigerians because they contribute to this mess and you even see them making a fool of themselves on here.

Already, I get to pay transfer levy, Telco charge, and electronic money transfer levy (plus VAT on these charges) for transfers between personal accounts. Now this? Forget the claim that the new levy won't apply to transactions between accounts belonging to one person.

I was even enduring electronic transfers to start with, with all the dramas that could come with them. I'll probably be doing even less of them henceforth.

To think that all these charges aren't even put to good use. It's annoying!

That is not true. Organise an election today and Tinubu would win fair and square. You need to understand Nigeria for what it is, rather than what you think it should be.

Tinubu can not win a free and fair election in Nigeria

You want to remove him? grin

I am just laughing at you here....

Just prepare for war, because that is what he is ready to do, some of you don't know why some of us fought to make sure Tinubu does not get there, if his hold on Lagos state for 24 years did not teach you the type of person you guys were supporting, then it means you people were supporting him blindly...

I kept on telling you guys you people don't know what you are doing, Tinubu was the worst candidate to have supported in the last election, this has nothing to do with tribe or anything of such....

The best time to have stopped him was during the election, same reason I don't really think I might support any candidate in 2027, because it might only be a waste of time....

If a man could hold a state for 24 years from the moment he got in till date even when he had no control of the federal level and security agencies, is it now that he has all that in his control that you want to remove him as a sitting president?

Prepare for war

The problem with a lot of you who supported him is you don't even know him, some of you still don't know....

by protesting, but nobody wan die.... During d Arab spring in 2011, it was the price of bread that was increased and a Tunisian vegetable seller set himself ablaze because of d hardship that's how d protest started, though d man died but I'm sure he had no idea what he started, that singular move, started a protest in Libya, Syria, Egypt, Tunisia and Yemen.... D protest toppled leaders in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and Yemen.... Some of them have been ruling for more than 40 yrs... So who be tinubu wey no go resign if e see protest wey pass am..... The only issue I might not participate is that d protest will be political, some people are already for obi and some are for Atiku.... I can't protest on behalf of any politician that has held any political office in Nigeria.... They are all criminals all of them

Same issue I and Igbos will not participate in any protest against Tinubu, not because of a political leader, but because we know how the protest might likely end just like end SARS, and the bad part is that we the Igbos will be blamed by people like you for the protest....

Also when you say all politicians are the same, well they are not the same, if they were, GEJ would have done his 8 years complete even if the country burns to the ground....

So how then do you want to remove Tinubu from office since the only suggestion you gave is not workable based on your reason and my own reason, you see why I am laughing at you for thinking you can remove him from office without war or a coup or a supernatural act....
