The problem is that this 'arsenal' is always used indiscriminately against entire villages, communities and rural settlements somewhere...while the Bello Turjis and Kachallas of this world remained untouched for many, many years. The truth speaks for itself.

That's the point. Boko haram and shits are still in existence because the government wish so. If the government really wants to take them up,believe you me they won't last a month.

Nigerian military are fully up to the task.

I don't agree.

From Jonathan to Buhari to Tinubu? All of them wanted boko to remain? undecided

I know there is a lot we aren't being told about the boko saga but a big part of what's going on is good old fashioned incompetence. The soldiers are doing a poor job, simple.

You can never call nigerian military incompetent.

Let me tell you something. There are certain parties that are interested for things going on in north to continue. I'm talking of the banditry and what not.

Some part of them are probably in the military. So if your military have been compromised, you can't fully maintain control of the units.

I've been living in a naval barracks for some time now and i know what i my eyes saw in their artillery. Guy forget nigerian military are highly competent beyond what you think.

Ok...

The facts are coming out slowly...

You live with them so you are not likely to be impartial. Lets even take the navy you are talking about. Which serious country has the kind of arrangement we have at the moment where ex-militants etc. are responsible for pipeline surveillance? Isn't Tantita in business precisely because the navy failed to deliver on its own side of its bargain with Nigerians? undecided

Navy? Is it not the same navy that was forced to demote and dismiss two rear admirals shocked over the 'disappearance' of a vessel carrying 11,000 tonnes of crude oil? That case got national attention because another force (the NPF) was involved and the navy tried (unsuccessfully) to pin the theft on the police. A cover up was impossible at that stage and the navy was forced to investigate its own personnel - and a court martial of the offenders was inevitable. undecided

The MT African Pride saga happened many years ago. Sadly, things have gotten much worse since then. Your last sentence says I should 'forget Nigerian military' and I think that is excellent advice - though not in the way you intended.
