Akin to a daft and selfish father with hungry kids at home who lack school fees to return to school. Then one day Dad comes home with a new set of threads and a silly look on his face! And when he's asked by his long-suffering wifey to explain himself, he says he has to look good to project the family in a 'positive light' to the neighbours! You couldn't make it up! sad

PS- For those who don't get the analogy, i'm alluding to the stupidity of going on a flight of fancy....ie, building a multi-billion dollar coastal road when decrepit and dangerously failed roads exist all over the country!
your well of wisdom will neva run dry.

The Roads in some parts of this Country are in their worst state today. Some of these Roads are eyes sore. Government needs to wake up to its responsibilities.

Some are saying the government shouldn't have started the Calabar road project because there are many other roads to fix!

You'll always fix road every year! And the SEs among those singing the above song didn't say the same thing when Buhari was building the second 9ja bridge!

Buhari we don't need second 9ja bridge!
Go and fix our roads!

What is this?
Let people talk. If you advise that they should consider dragging governors too, so be it. Cos most of the roads fall within jurisdiction of governors to do.

They prefer to do coastal roads. Priority matters. Pocket matters. Personal interest matters. Up APC. All hail Tinubu government

Don't be deceived that only Southern states have bad roads. The worst roads are in Niger State. Mokwa to Makira, Makira to Kontagora, Makira to Tegina, pelegi to Salka. Kwara state is next; Shaare to Patigi, Kishi to kaiama, the road to Baruten, Jeba to kaiama. All these roads are dead traps.

Pls how did federal government planed to finance that coastal road

PS- For those who don't get the analogy, i'm alluding to the stupidity of going on a flight of fancy....ie, building a multi-billion dollar coastal road when decrepit and dangerously failed roads exist all over the country!

They make more money starting new projects and quickly get the approvals they need - Versus them having to explain why previous contracts failed.

They left all these roads and more to be building twenty lanes from Lagos to Heaven. Misplaced priority. Phools in power. Ndi ala ndi ala!!!!!!!!

Noisemakers didn't oppose the government when they were building the 2nd Niger bridge.

Keep wailing. The project is a goal

This is why Nigeria does not need coastal roads right now
Re: The deplorable state of some Roads In Nigeria (video/pictures) by IfnobeGod20: 8:49pm On May 09
Virtually all the federal roads need facelift. I have said this few days ago. I was in Uni when Lokoja to Abuja was awarded during OBJ's regime, till date, the road is still dead trap. Abuja to Zaria still very much terrible. Ore-Benin is still an eye sore with attendant kidnapping and robbery. Ogbomosho to Oyo to Ibadan still terrible. The road claimed almost all the occupants of a bus few days ago. The new one Fashola was building had not been completed till date with Sukun money borrowed. We are still paying for that till date. What of jebba to Minna so terrible. Saki to Chikada, east west road and many federal roads that urgent attention but nothing is done till this evening but some people said the Lagos - Calabar coastal highway is the boom. A project that they may not complete in the next 15 years.
The question is, how many lives would have been lost before the coastal highway is completed?
This country we don't prioritize businesses. We just blindly give support to anything so far the person there is our tribe or party man or brother. Still have long way to go.

But the second Niger bridge did not start during Buhari's regime. It has been on since OBJ's tenure. It was a needed project as far back as 1999 and not when Buhari came to do it.
You're the one wailing and have low IQ.

Buhari decieved himself for eight years ... But what did he do with the huge loans collected for infrastructural facilities ? May God repay them back in their own coin at the right time
