I will say this now, we deserve a bit of accolades on this thread.

Football is long term. Those such games do not mean as much as improving yourself as a tactician. With time, you will seat with the big boys and others will get kicked out because their titles is short lived than tactical masters that last long at the big table.

You are right to an extent. Before the start of the 2nd leg vs Roma, Bayer had 5 more games to complete an undefeated treble, at that point in time, you play your best team until you finish the job.

However, Bayer’s 2nd team did more than enough to have even won this game in the first half. If they were clinical, none of us would have said anything. Xabi clearly thought they were good enough to if not win, at least not lose at home.

Which coach do you like? Let us start from there to understand what you hate. Because when you talk Tiki Taka, it is mostly about playing a heavy possession style which most top coaches adopt.

Guardiola, Arteta, Ten Hag, Tuchel, Enrique, Ancelotti, Michel Sanchez, Xavi etc. All work towards dominating possession.

You can't say you hate Tiki Taka on one hand and say you like possession football. They are the same thing.
In your mind all possession style football is tiki taka. I disagree. Tiki taka is just a specie of the animal called possession football and I don't like that specie. Forget about the coaches Iike or don't like. It's not relevant to my point. I'm taking system not persons.
