Ibime: Yeah i get. I am just saying that the geographical advantage of being an island has limits. If your air force and navy are inferior, being an island won't save you. Back in the days of Drake, Nelson, Cochrane, naval superiority was a cardinal objective of the British government, and with good reason. When planes became a thing, the RAF was quickly built up, especially when Hitler's objectives became common knowledge. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Ibime: I am not anti-UK o. Just dropping my opinion. Even their entry into WW1 was based on their obligation to defend Belgium from invasion. In terms of European affairs, they have usually been less aggressive compared to countries like France, Spain, Russia, and Germany. 2 Likes 1 Share |

OasisX: Well, I do love lollipops (it's a bad habit I'm trying to stop, I know). I especially like to suck and lick at them. And bite. Sweets barely spend five seconds in my mouth before I'm crushing them into bits. |

Theflint1: On Wednesday, I got three Amber alerts on my phone in a span of minutes. The alerts warned about possible danger from exposure to fumes including compounds such as Hydrogen Cyanide and Cadmium reactants due to a fire mishap that occurred in a weapons factory that manufactures defence systems deployed by Ukraine against Russia. I received the alerts because I lived within 20 kilometers of the contagion radius. I really wonder if we even have basic alerting infrastructure to contain a potential cataclysmic disaster. Omo, our way still far can’t lie 1 Like |

Fubara is a very irresponsible, foolish, and lawless individual. The same people hailing him now would be calling for help from the US, UK, UN, and others to save democracy in Nigeria if a governor from the APC were treating the state legislature like this. The legislature is meant to be an independent arm of government, but it has become a mockery in Nigeria. Even the judiciary has been rendered useless. There's too much executive overreach in this country. Whoever drafted the 1999 constitution did not have the country's best interests at heart. |

War before air support https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_cCSWBo4cA?si=EfQ3Us0OFXyCatCn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnX_mQ9apu8?si=AnloX0AQtQ4JGTwU I read somewhere that it is because of this that the US military branches all have their own air support. Because the airforce does not take orders from army navy or marines |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:16am On May 10 |
Ibime: This was what I told itsrm the other day and he claimed Wike has done roads & other infrastructures that Rivers people need....he doesn't care if Fubara chooses to waste his 4 years on fighting Wike . It's very obvious that it's the people of Rivers that will suffer in this their fight. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 5:27am On May 10 |
BlueRayDick: The major thing I need right now is for exchange rate and the price of fuel to come down. If Fubara can give me that, then I'll join your crusade. I mean, look at his line up of events to celebrate one year in office, of what use is any of this for me? This was why I told you I don't care if his fight with Wike prevents him from working. He can't give me the things I need. The basic things I need have been provided by the last administration.

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:38am On May 10 |
Itsrm: So if there's no peace in ur state u don't care ? That's selfishness na . Maybe the part of the state u live in has decent infrastructures built by Wike's administration , but what about other parts of the state that still need development ? Anyways sha maybe Rivers is not like Lagos and violence doesn't really scare u guys cos I can't imagine if this kinda thing was happening in Lagos; let's say pro Wike and pro Fuabra people are fighting in places like Ikeja , Oshodi, Obalende, CMS, Iyana Ipaja...etc. its as good as the whole state is on fire and almost everybody will lose their peace. That's where I'm coming from; even u that claim to have everything u need will be living in fear for ur properties when things like that happen 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 5:48am On May 10 |
BlueRayDick: No, the argument we had was you saying it's the Rivers people that will suffer because Fubara will be distracted and won't be able to do anything. I'm saying, as long as this is the consequence of them fighting, I am perfectly at peace with it. They can continue fighting as long as they keep it at the current war of words and it doesn't degenerate into violence. No one wants violence in the state. |
