Lol. Because of “supageti” and “Jims trouser”. If only the people criticising back then knew what fashion was going to become, they would have kept their silence.

Mother nature knows how to pay the dubious and proud back,
I paid him back then in 2007 for my show and he never showed up after collecting my #55,000; instead he and his gang started threatening my young Brother and collaborated with their records label to size all his songs
This should not be overlooked if truly your claims are genuine.

The story of Grace to Grass is typical of a lot of people...look for someone aged that is not doing well and ask for his or her story. This is my conclusion about life..

Money is a spirit...Treat it and respect it and more will come.

Everyone will get one break at least...some will get many breaks...don't abuse the opportunity

Life is a cycle...Even Joseph and Egypt was not spared from famine. When you are doing ok, prepare for the time things will swing.

Every 10yrs, everyone gets a break, an opportunity, a cycle or setback...or even more setback...because a major event always happen at least once in 10yrs.

This might be another break for him and I pray he manages it well.

How many of you still remember SkyB? He was very popular back in the days. He did songs like 'My Baby' and 'Pray For Me' which became hits and were vibed to by Nigerians both young and old then. There was no party you would attend then, without SkyB's songs not played.

Today, life is no more rosy for the 'My Baby' crooner. He has moved from something to nothing as the Port-Harcourt born artist now lives in abject poverty.

Popular vlogger, Lucky Udu was with him recently as he shared his story of grace to grass.

In the 80s, ladies were putting on "Oleku" Blouse and Short Wrapper usually around knee level made from handmade woven fabric, a dressing for club girls then, is now one for responsible housewife in this age.

If you are into music, bear it in mind that you may have to learn a skill and move on to normal life in future. Once the market doesn't want your music anymore, there is no point beating a dead horse and wasting time

His songs were released few weeks to valentine's day. It was on everyone's lips that period.

Links hotel was everyone's favourite back then. The money I spent on Vino Tinto in that hotel should be enough to sponsor 6 Nigerian girls in the university now.

The lack talent na, he betrayed the guy behind his success. He is an accidental musician, the real talent behind the song is the guy called X-blue or popular X-B. He is close friend of mine, he now own sound cheque studio ph.
The second album was fluke because there was no X-B, the hit song my baby was a lift from an original version by X. They would have climb way because X got a lot hot tracks that never see the light of day.

He sold his songs to a music producer, not knowing the songs will blow. The reason he didn't make money from music.
He actually betrayed his guy X-B who is the talent behind the song, they were suppose to be a duo but he went solo and cut off the real musician hence nothing came out of the second album. With the kind of song X-B had back then, they would have been in competition with mohit back then, so this is karma.

Some Nigerians!! Very funny and unbelievable people.

A very touching and heart breaking video about a once popular but now very broke and hungry artiste was made. Instead of sympathies or finding ways to help, people are talking about how vino tinto was cheap, how they flexed back in the day ignoring the real purpose of the video angry

I'm telling you. That's to tell you how the brain of an average Nigerian works. Yet they blame the Government.

E don rise na, from #356 to #1,500. 🤷

All I remember is this was a local boy jam. It was played in every pepper soup joint and lokito party at the time. If I believed in spirits, I would swear the guy used juju because — as useless as the song was — every joint heavily promoted it. I thanked God when it faded. Funny enough, I hardly heard it on the radio. It meant their standard was high.

The guy is healthy, he should find a hustle. The same thing I advised on the thread regarding Soty. Bolt and Uber dey find drivers. He can borrow a car and make himself useful to society.

Your mouth no good.

My baby, my baby, my baby...

Lol. The guy music rock the airwaves and clubs for Jos that year.

Somehow I hated that song but got used to listening to it due to massive airplay.

Very repetitive lyrics... Only thing I kept hearing was "my baby" grin

Those days was fun Sha.

Just getting to know he is from PH now... I always used to think he was from Jos or a northerner because of the way they played that music that year.

These new generation crop of musicians are really enjoying... One hit and you done blow. Unlike the older set who had hits and still struggling to survive!

Don't be deceived. Shady dealing given new artists money not the song.

Some of them even make money before coming into music to show off.

Sky B is gradually coming back, he performed last week or so in a comeback show his fans organised for him, he still has vibes in him. It's like there is something about PH artistes and poor management of fame and money. Duncan mighty came after Sky B, made wave and went to square one again.
