For the first time, some people in the PDP are playing politics with strategy, and it's a beautiful thing to watch. Wike, once the undisputed kingpin of the party, is now in a chokehold of his own making.

Here's how it went down:

1. Wike is in a chokehold of the PDP.
2. Some persons led by Atiku Abubakar want to take back the party from him.
3. But to do that, you either outspend him or cut off his source of funding - Rivers treasury.
4. So they quickly supported Sim when his feud started with Wike.
5. To prove what I've always said about Nigerian politicians being overrated, 27 elected lawmakers dumped the PDP and joined APC!!!
6. It was a most stupid decision, as that means they've lost their seats!!!
7. Losing their seats would mean that Wike has lost the legislature and can no longer control Sim and the Rivers treasury. Game check!!
8. Because they couldn't justify their exit, and facing a constitutional expulsion, Wike ran to the president to broker a non-binding truce. The mistake is done already.
9. The people who wanted Wike out of PDP were succeeding.
10. No matter how much Wike wanted to annoy them, they refused to get annoyed.
11. Initially, Wike did not understand why Atiku and co refused to struggle with him for the chairmanship and leadership of PDP.
12. The reason was simple: if there was any disagreement of any sort, the PDP lawmakers who decamped to APC would latch on it as a division.
13. While Wike was rejoicing initially that Damagun was not removed and looking invincible, with nobody, including Atiku, putting up a fight, he is beginning to realize why.
14. Sensing that Wike's game is up, and with support from some stakeholders, Sim has now come out full swing.
15. He declared the PDP-APC lawmakers as non-existent and suddenly a new loyal speaker has emerged.
16. He visits the legislative quarters and issues an executive order relocating the assembly sitting venue. And boom! A court issues an interim order restraining the entire PDP-APC lawmakers from parading themselves as such.
17. However, Wike still has money to spend and won't stop spending yet. But the fund source has been closed. So, he is spending his stolen savings, and it must have a limit.
18. The loyal Wike LGA chairmen have started screaming. Why? The governor has cut off funds.
19. The assembly members would soon join.
20. Wike will have to keep sending money to these persons monthly or else his ranks will break.
21. Unfortunately, Wike has since lost his popularity, but he doesn't seem to know it.

The coming days will be interesting, indeed. Wike's house of cards is crumbling, and he's running out of tricks to keep his political empire afloat. It's a classic case of "you can't outsmart smart."

You'll be dispensed quickly when you think you're indispensable!
Wike and his boys overreached themselves with their continuous verbal attacks on a sitting governor they thought was a lame dog

The fund his war chest will not be too hard for him, he Wike is still in government and Tinubu may bankroll him to continually destabilize PDP.

President Tinubu wouldn’t dare because he already has so much to chew. If care isn’t taken, he will be porting to Fubara eventually.
River state money surpasses whatever Wike can glean from FCT.
He’s just a federal minister who is at the mercy of the President, unlike Sim with executive powers

They shouldn't all have defected at the same time. Wike's camp was overconfident

That was the early days of the disagreement. All Wike's supporters were asked to "resign" technically to frustrate Fubara. Commissioners resigned, but only way for lawmakers to resign was to port to APC. When the president intervened, the Commissioners were reinstated, but a ported lawmaker cannot just return like that, after publicly announcing his resignation from PDP. Perhaps Wike was to also move to APC, but he has seen that there is NO place for him there.

President Tinubu will prefer to work with Sim than Wike come next election, reason is that Wike makes a lot of noise and enemies before delivering while Sim seems to be a silent achiever, one thing Sim has in common with Tinubu.
Mind you that after the peace deal, Sim kept or pretend that he is keeping his own side of the bargain, reason many see him as a weak man while the ex lawmakers i.e Wike's boys went on rampage, started dictating for the governor, showing the governor that he is a defeated man without any strategy apart from the order from above. All these they did forgetting that Tinubu hates people without strategy. Example is the way he dumped Asari Dokubo and Oluomo.
Working with empty barrels is the worst mistake a leader can make. This is what cause GEJ his second term. He worked with people that can't do anything without federal power

Tinubu political history as shows he doesn't betray people that comes through for him when it matter must

We YORUBA ideology toward friendship is totally different from you Igbo averaged YORUBA man see Sim as a betrayal

The kind of relationship Wike as build with Tinubu goes beyond what you guys thinks on social media

8 out of 9 commissioner that resigned from SIM government as been given federal appointment

You can't get any federal political appointment / contract from SS without wike influenced in this government

Some PDP Governor's are still using wike influenced to get one or two favore from Presidency

Wike thought he was the chess master, but Atiku just played him like a pawn.

It's amusing how the so-called kingpin is now begging for scraps while Atiku orchestrates his downfall.

Watch out, Wike, because Atiku is always two steps ahead, even when it looks like he’s losing!

The one I love the most is the 525 million Nwanosike was asked to pay for violating the approved building plan for his hotel.
I am sure after the payment, Fubara will demolish the hotel for not passing stress test.
This was the same man that was telling Fubara to come if them born him well.

Atiku is just a puppet master playing with Wike's strings. The irony is too rich—this is the same man who couldn't hold his own in a proper political fight. Now he thinks he’s the strategist? Na wah! Wike might be down, but Atiku's game is just as shaky. All these moves, and yet the PDP remains a sinking ship.
