I have listened to the arguments and counter arguments, but i have only one thing to say never ever depend on the system.... The average Nigerian fraudster is too lazy to learn the rudiments of most technologies, many just exploit the human loopholes in the system...... A simple investigation by authorized personels will fish out most of this fraudsters in minutes...... Currently as i speak with u, I have over one hundred thousand naira that was trapped in failed transfer to pos during elections and old naira new naira saga...... As i speak with u, that data has been deleted from the bank site, while the situation was still hot i fill form tire, i contacted my acct officer tire........ only evidence i have are screen shots of the transaction on my phone Now this data is deleted from the system......I believe all financial fraud in Nigeria has insider element to it 5 Likes |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by awesomeJ(m): 9:09am On May 15 |
maishai: I think it boils down to our legal system not being strong enough too. Imagine transaction history vanishing from a bank's books, that's the sort of thing that will have a 250m dollar fine land on their head na. Abi if I had 400k with them verified before that said transaction, and somehow, my balance became 300k, are they not fully responsible for explaining where the 100k went and how it did?? I recently read a naira metrics article where a court awarded about 500m dollars to a mechanic against Exxon Mobil cos he claimed that they didn't put warning on their container that the benzene in their fuel could cause cancer. Here in nigeria, folks like some here would rather blame the mechanic. 1 Like 1 Share |

Streetinvestor2: If only there is the will, she can follow up on this new phone number, I know most banks will never allow u update kyc online, u have to fill some sort of paper at a branch before it signed vetted and uploaded..... This is definitely an insider work, that account is compromised please close it and reopen a new one if u so wish to continue banking with ur bank 1 Like |

I once had this kind of fraud case in my account with TD Canada trust bank in Canada in 2015. Amount then was 50cad, I went to the bank immediately but the bank couldn't do anything, they told me the money was debited from unknown source. I was advised by them to change my ATM card and also change my mobile app password. I just moved on... |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Wotowotoman: 10:03am On May 15 |
awesomeJ: Are you now saying the mechanic was right because he found ways to win money from a large organization using loopholes in the legal system and a good lawyer? Use your head and church mind and think am well. Was the mechanic right? Na your type go say OJ Simpson was innocent because he was acquitted in a court of law. In fact, Where is the link to this your story? It sounds fake as hell! |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Rizin: 10:53am On May 15 |
Wotowotoman: Hahhaa. he stopped in SS2 but i bet you that he uses tech gadgets well. If you give him your sim card, you will know that he has an AI like chatgpt that can go to any site to pull your information. I hope you heard when he said that he only needs your sim card. If you see him on the street you will believe that he is one of the area boys. |

wen u hear Yahoo boys, u think na foreigners Dem dey scam. most of them are busy buying call logs, bank details n working with insiders in the bank to swipe your hard earned money. so when you see Yahoo boys remember that pensioner that worked for 35yrs n lost his money to a heartless I.diot that swiped his account only to use it to lodge in a hotel n buy Ragtag oversize clothes. They all will surely suffer for it soonest. 11 Likes |

Good morning all. Please what is the mininmum amount to invest in treasury bills.I contact Gt fund and they said 2 million naira. Can someone help with firms with lower rates.Thank you |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ojesymsym: 8:36am On May 16 |
I personally do not think that those so called yahoo boys are hyper tech smart like that. The major loop holes they look for are the ones made by the owner of the account rather than been able to hack the bank system itself. That guy non be like who even know about chat GPT not to talk of being able to make API calls. There is no way in this world that that guy in that video will understand lesson 1 in ethical hacking not to talk of becoming a hacker. The truth is that Nigeria is one of the few places in the world with the most access to your account remotely and being able to do the level of transaction outside the banking hall as we are able to do here . So banks usually have to joggle with letting you have as much remote access as you want and still devising ways to ensure that only you or a person you willingly or otherwise allow to access your account. They use security layers like 'what only you should know' eg password, BVN, date of birth, 'What only you should have' eg token and then another banks like GTB put another secure question for transfers different from login password to your internet banking. However, I have heard stories of people looking at their ATM and their token in their front like this and money zapping out from their account, na those ones I never understand but I am convinced that these kind of guys in that video and many of them fronting software, software (which I believe is a database they have been collecting for a while) do not know any IT jack. The real hackers na eastern Europe, Russia and China them de Rizin: 1 Like |

Get the contact of your gt account officer. Government fixed it at 50m. Bank can decide what to take from you. You can bargain with your account officer. Stanbic collect 100k min. Ogelite: |

ojesymsym: I completely agree with you. To be a true hacker, you need a vast knowledge base across several computer software domains. Hacking a bank requires in-depth understanding of its security framework (or something similar) and exploiting its vulnerabilities. Years of accumulated background knowledge are necessary just to begin studying such a framework. Then there are those who acquire a few superficial skills and claim to be hackers. LOL. That's social engineering, not hacking at all. It's no different from pickpocketing in Alaba Market. 3 Likes |

Ogelite: You can invest as low as 100k. There's option of investing in primary market and also the secondary market. The secondary market auction will take place next Wednesday 22nd May. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by sonshyne: 7:13pm On May 16 |
Odunharry: Pls if I may ask, when is the next primary auction and what day of the week can I apply? I went to GTB last week Wednesday 8th May and I was told the auction has close since Tuesday that I have to wait another two weeks. So I plan going there by next week Monday 20th May. Will that be fine? |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by awesomeJ(m): 7:29pm On May 16 |
cutedharmee: Depends on your goal. If you're a trader that bought at 1000/1200 levels,. You may want to take profit. However I think today's pull back in some quarters is temporary, cos NAFEM closed at 1533(naira down 4.04%), while I'm seeing 1406 in some places(naira up 6.52%). 3 Likes |

Hello Guru, Pls has anyone used the i-invest App? How good is it? What is it good at? Who owns the in-invest app? Thanks 1 Like |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by davit: 9:29am On May 17 |
MyMail2D:I-invest is owned by Sterling Bank. Their platform is legit. Been using it for about 5 years now. I currently have TB portfolio with them running till next year. It is good for TB at secondary market. Just note that their advertised rate is not truly what you get because they invest your interest alongside. 1 Like |

teejay5: That means it wasn't successful. However, they ought to have informed you that it was. To clear all doubts you will have to contact them and enquire about it. After verifying from them that it wasn't successful, You can ask either ask them if they have any one available in the secondary market to subscribe (Note:It starts from 10 -1 or 2 PM and the tenure and rates you get there might not be exactly as intended but you can get something close.) or you can wait for the next Primary Auction. |
