A 100-level female student of Abia State University (ABSU) Uturu campus was allegedly assaulted and brutalised by a school security officer last Monday. Eyewitnesses described a series of events leading up to the assault, which reportedly stemmed from an ongoing dispute over access to toilet facilities.

According to witnesses, the security personnel arrived amidst chaos, wielding guns and cutlasses, escalating the situation further. The altercation led to the security officer brutally beating the student until she became unconscious.

The victim, identified as Dominic Chizurum, resisted being taken away and was subjected to a brutal attack, with the officer allegedly slamming her head against a cupboard and ripping her clothes during the struggle. She sustained injuries including the loss of several teeth, cuts, and hair loss, indicating possible physical dragging or manhandling.

The person looks so young and looks like a fresher. A security personnel that beat someone like this can't be this young.
