naptu2: Good. There is this mosque close to my house. Very early in the morning. My sleep is disrupted because of them. I barely get good sleep because of them. Their speaker is so loud that even when I wake up to close my window. It is loud in my room. |

Jokerman: We Christians have to be civilised in all we do, if you want people to hear the word of God, the bible has already told you what to do, it says, go into the world and preach the gospel... It didn't say, sit in your church and start making noise disturbing people. Do you think all the people in your area are interested in the noise? I am a Christian, a devoted one. So stop saying all these jargons. Most of our churches here in Nigeria that are in abroad can't try such by putting speakers outside and making noise, they will be arrested. |

Can't you people be sensible for once, abi you think this rubbish noise is accepted in developed world. How can churches, mosque, clubs etc... keep disturbing everyone with their whatever they do. The religious centers are d worse, if I was in charge, I'll arrest the pastors or Alfas, they're supposed to show good examples to the society, but instead, they behave like fools. Some churches even do these things at midnight We should be civil and sensible, you think those noises don't also affect believers? A believer might be asleep, at work, helping their kids with homework, nursing their sick partner or parents, or busy with other things, then comes these churches and mosques with their noise. |

This is something that I always emphasise. The government doesn't just show up and seal a place when you complain. They issue warnings and educate the offender. Places are only sealed when the offender continues the offensive action despite several warnings. Similarly, buildings are not demolished immediately government notices that there is an infraction. Abatement and removal notices are served, so that the offender can remove the offending structure by himself. Discussions are also held. It's only when the offender is recalcitrant, despite several warnings, that the building is demolished. Tunde Ajayi is the general manager of LASEPA. 1 Like 1 Share
