Good afternoon everyone, trust you are all having a great day. My application is taking a long time to get a decision and I already made non refundable bookings for the France part of my trip (also my valid France visa expires in a few weeks), I also have a major project to get back to execute so I can’t move my holiday. Does UK allow temporary passport withdrawal pending when they make a decision so I can go on my France trip while waiting? cc @cashmadam 1 Like |

You might have to mail the embassy on that one. There's the initial option of keeping your passport while they make a visa decision. But now you've submitted the passport, you best bet would probably be to mail and enquire. BiyiTudors: |

BiyiTudors: You can call to lodge a complaint. If it's been processed, you will not get a refund. depending on when you did your biometrics, I reckon you should get your passport next week or the upper week. They don't have a lot of applications and it shouldn't take too long. If you can wait another week, it should be out. |

Good day great minds. Please I want to ask if I can use my approved Prodigy Finance loan letter as proof of funds when applying for UK student visa. Is using a loan a red flag or it also works fine ? Thank you, as I await response please |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by BiyiTudors: 8:55pm On May 18, 2024 |
Thank you for your response, I did my biometrics on the 3rd, got an acknowledgement email for longer processing time on the 6th then my bank charged me for embassy verification on Tuesday (14th). I have a flight out on the 28th and it is going to be tight to move my schedule around. I’ll follow your advice and see what happens. Thank you 🙏🏾 Cashmadam: |

iamnlia: You need to send a cover letter with proof how important this exam is to you especially how passing it and getting certified will improve your life You must be seen explaining how bankrupt the venture left you due to the swinging dollar to the point you had to solicit assistance from your dad to fund the trip. Your own personal circumstance must be clearly stated as you are employed and earn so so so a.ount, spend so so amount monthly and have been able to save so so so this year which you've recently used to fund the exam. Dad's wallet must be fat to not be able to be dented by this travel you are embarking on. If it's a current account you intend submitting of your dad's then forget it. Just like your own statement, show proof of your dad's gainful employment with religious saving over the next 3 months. |

A search on UK gov site led me to this: How to prove you have the money You can prove you have enough money using: a student loan from a government, government sponsored loan company, or a regulated student loans scheme an official financial sponsorship – for example, from a national government or university your own money your parent’s money – they must provide a letter confirming they agree to you using it this way your partner’s money, if your partner is in the UK or applying at the same time You cannot use: overdrafts cryptocurrency stocks and shares pensions bank accounts that are not regulated by the financial regulatory body in the country in which the bank operates bank accounts that do not use electronic record keeping Your best bet - find out from Prodigy Finance if they are regulated student loan scheme and can provide POF Vicko3: |

Sent a paid email yesterday and finally got a decision today. Glad to get my passport back at least so I can plan my holiday. I will send in a complaint later when I get back since I never applied or got refused a visa on the 22/01/2024 to start with. Here is what the refusal says: REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0 You have applied for a visa to visit the UK. In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for visitors (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor- rules), I have considered: • your application and any additional relevant information you have provided with it • your immigration history The decision I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 of Appendix V because: You were recently refused a visa in the same category as this application on 22/01/2024. I am not satisfied that you have adequately addressed any of the concerns detailed in the Notice of Refusal that was issued to you. When an application is refused, the applicant is invited to reapply if their personal circumstances change significantly between now and the next application; or they provide compelling new documents with the next application. I have considered the evidence contained in your application. However, I am satisfied that your personal circumstance has not changed, and although you have submitted extra documents, I do not consider that it provides any further compelling evidence in support of your application. All of this means that, on the balance of probabilities, I am not satisfied that you have accurately presented your circumstances or intentions in wishing to visit the UK now. I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor or that you intend to leave the UK on completion of your visit. Paragraph V 4.2 (a) (c) of the Immigration Rules. BiyiTudors: |

If you have a degree in sociology with at least 2yrs work experience in social work in Nigeria, and desire to relocate so the UK (Govt job), please let me know. There is a slot for social workers in the UK. However, the person must be very serious and ready to write the EILT exam and ensure he scores at least 7.0 band. Also note that the person should not be more than 45years. Only those that meet this requirement and very serious should contact me on 08086901917. Kindly note that this is genuine and not a scam, not is it from any agency. I did not meet this requirement that is why I did not apply for the job. My decision to put it out here is out of the goodness of my heart. This is a UK govt job and not all those yeye COS job that was use to ruined people lives in the UK. |

I am a little bit confused. I went for Biometrics on the 2nd of May 2024, I was supposed to resume work on the 1st of June. They sent a mail last week that my visa processing is still with them and it will take 15 working days from the date they received it (3rd of May 2024 as a confirmation mail was sent on that to me) to make a decision (should be any time this week from my calender) They just sent me another mail for an interview with them on the 4th of June at Abuja VAC. This is kind of confusing to be honest. Am I the only one on this table? |
