My application is taking a long time to get a decision and I already made non refundable bookings for the France part of my trip (also my valid France visa expires in a few weeks), I also have a major project to get back to execute so I can’t move my holiday. Does UK allow temporary passport withdrawal pending when they make a decision so I can go on my France trip while waiting?

You might have to mail the embassy on that one.

There's the initial option of keeping your passport while they make a visa decision. But now you've submitted the passport, you best bet would probably be to mail and enquire.

Please which location is faster to get a date for biometric. I choosed Enugu, but have not been sucessful in getting a date, it keeps showing no date available

You can call to lodge a complaint. If it's been processed, you will not get a refund. depending on when you did your biometrics, I reckon you should get your passport next week or the upper week. They don't have a lot of applications and it shouldn't take too long. If you can wait another week, it should be out.

Your Dad can sponsor you. Best you use only one sponsor. Submit your statement of account - regardless of the balance.

Thank you for your response, I did my biometrics on the 3rd, got an acknowledgement email for longer processing time on the 6th then my bank charged me for embassy verification on Tuesday (14th).

I have a flight out on the 28th and it is going to be tight to move my schedule around.

You need to send a cover letter with proof how important this exam is to you especially how passing it and getting certified will improve your life You must be seen explaining how bankrupt the venture left you due to the swinging dollar to the point you had to solicit assistance from your dad to fund the trip.

Your own personal circumstance must be clearly stated as you are employed and earn so so so a.ount, spend so so amount monthly and have been able to save so so so this year which you've recently used to fund the exam.

Dad's wallet must be fat to not be able to be dented by this travel you are embarking on. If it's a current account you intend submitting of your dad's then forget it. Just like your own statement, show proof of your dad's gainful employment with religious saving over the next 3 months.

Your best bet - find out from Prodigy Finance if they are regulated student loan scheme and can provide POF

It was cheap but stressful. At the end, you go still relax...they provide accomodation though for a short time. Get your yellow card.

Sent a paid email yesterday and finally got a decision today. Glad to get my passport back at least so I can plan my holiday.
I will send in a complaint later when I get back since I never applied or got refused a visa on the 22/01/2024 to start with.

Here is what the refusal says:

We challenged the ECO decision last month for reconsideration, like I said previously it is not all the ECO that knows what he or she is doing, some roasted me for that statement, I have seen so many refusals that made absolute no sense, they are humans, they have hormones too we have the bad eggs among them who just refuse you based on flimsy excuse(s).
I didn’t take the second refusal likely, as there was no difference between the previous refusal which was last year, and the this recent one and it is based on financial grounds( enough sufficient funds with proof). (Looked more like a copy and paste to me ) Pre action protocol (PAP) was sent to the home office giving them 14days to reconsider before taking it further to court for JR.
They responded on the 14th day and yes a senior caseworker in his/ her right senses looked at the evidence submitted and he/she did agreed it was sufficient enough to grant the entry clearance visiting visa in the first place.
If we had accepted fate and re - apply the third time it MAY be refused again and that is too much dent, although they claim every new application(s) is decided based on its merit but I do not want to believe they do not look at your past history with them in concluding.
So fingers crossed on when my aunt and her children will be asked to bring their passports, it shouldn’t take up to 3months sha.
Sometimes you just have to push some buttons.
Don’t let the refusal bring you down, but first, do the right thing.

They sent a mail last week that my visa processing is still with them and it will take 15 working days from the date they received it (3rd of May 2024 as a confirmation mail was sent on that to me) to make a decision (should be any time this week from my calender)

They just sent me another mail for an interview with them on the 4th of June at Abuja VAC.

This is kind of confusing to be honest.

Am I the only one on this table?
