Sorry about that. There was apparently some dirty game played right there. So where the the surge protector disappear to?

Even though I make much solar ground maintenance myself, but when the guys come around either to help install more panels on the roof or clean the panels during dusty seasons, I always hang around and if I can't, I have all these movable/portable makeshift WiFi cameras trained on the spot where they work and I'm able to either remotely monitor them or check the recordings whenever I'm less busy.

Damn! Now you gotta start looking for an emergency 160k which was unnecessary in the first place.

The funny part of the story is that before the lightning issue, my wife called my attention to the space where the surge protector was installed before (that why is the place blank?) I just told her it’s possible installer just changed the position

Today I saw a fake Jinko panel. The junction box cover has an embossed Jinko boldly on it. It's 250W and VoC is 60V. Lol

People will buy it as Jinko and start wondering why the panel is underperforming.

Meanwhile Jinko has discontinued production of 250Wp solar panels, and when it's in production VoC was 37.7V

It's not from what I see. A cable runs from it into the ground.

Thanks for response. Boss, could You recommend any reliable and durable lithium ion battery Sir..

Dam5reey:

Running a 7.5KVA Inverter, the Tubular batteries required to run and last long effectively will reach 16 units. so you are better off using a minimum 10KWH 48V Lithium ion, which is still in the range of 2.5M.

After much delib, Finally settled for:

Jinko 580W x9,
Growatt SPF 5000ES and
Pylontech UP5000 5.12kWh x2

I guess it's time to find a reliable installer and I'll love recommendations. Thanks alot

Yes. Attached is the picture of the remote.

I thought they phased out this model? I did same mistake in 2020 when I thought gen mode will mean lower watts, only for me to be seeing more than 1000w in gen mode for extended periods. The painful thing is that I watched a review on same lg inverter AC by an Indian and his lg inverter ac can be set at different power levels ranging from 40% and so on with considerable lower watts. The gen mode is just a scam. But I read here that newer LG inverter ac now has that different power level options that has been present in other countries for years. The newer remote control has an "energy saving" button unlike this older model

By the way before getting an installer google up yourself in relation to your set up. At least a bit of knowledge in solar in other to avoid frequent ok ok ok...Fund is hard to get; shine your eyes. Check your manuals before the arrival of the installer. Enjoy your fund.

We all know we need more batteries and panels, but power saving suppose save you small. 900w+ is no saving.
if you want power saving that much na to opt for fan, once you enter AC territory just budget for high numbers

So I tried the Gen mode on the remote. Result is disappointing. Apparently the Gen mode button isn't supposed to work on this model. It appears this remote is universal for some models of LG ACs, so it's not every button on it thar works. I simply pressed the button and watched out for any changes in the power consumption, but nothing worthy of note happened.

I checked the manual and it seems everything that has to do with "energy saving" is optional for this unit that I got, except maybe the fact that the "inverter" model it is makes it to ramp up slowly.

So the jet mode ramps up to 1010w, cools the room from 31 degrees to 28 degrees in about 30 minutes and the the jet mode deactivates. By then, the consumption had dropped to 957 watts.

It's s currently down to 944w as I'm typing.

This has got to be my saddest gadget purchase in a very long time. The only thought filling my head right now is how many premium solar panels I could have secured with the almost 500k price tag on this useless AC purchase, and my spirit will be happy with me that my power generation increase is guaranteed for another 10 years.

But I'm seeing the horizontal light on the AC body signifying that the "gen mode" is ON...So in your case, while the light came on,it didn't actually work?

Cos that's exactly what I had on mine yesterday, immediately I pressed the gen mode on the remote, that horizontal light came on and my inverter was able to carry it well, although the cooling wasn't as chilly...

How many hp is your unit?😁

The problem is the efficiency ~around 85%. Bulk of the energy generated will be consumed by inverter or lost during during conversion. Its good for large battery/pv system to augment the losses

Yes. Attached is the picture of the remote.

If you use the smart inverter AC 1.5HP.

Try this Hack if it works for you.

Use the Timer function to activate the power saver mode..
It will reduce the power to less than 600w

Set like 20 degrees and use 4 to 7 hours.
Timer is at the bottom.

I know how these things work, there is nothing wrong in seeking for real life experience from people here. I've been on RE journey for many years, I actually know how it works. I'm here looking for energy efficient ACs, I know fans are more energy efficient. Thank you for your input.

I am about to do this, please tag me when you get answers or decide to help us see how it panned out when you decide to do it.

Worst case scenario it'll enter error mode when voltage overshoots 450v.

You can only find out by a trial

Let me relay my personal experience. For the CC I use, 24v system accepts max Pv input of 100v so I used a PV of 105v. If the app breaker is turned off during high sunshine and turned back on the CC goes into an error mode. But if allowed to wake normally in the morning as the sun rises, it works well since the load on the CC keeps the input value sub 100v.

That boy that came for maintenance is my prime suspect. You have to know how to bypass the connection to be able to successfully steal that thing without the users knowing. Trace when your wife asked you that question, if it was after the boy visited, go use slap and knock make the boy talk truth.

My seniors I need your help

I did this setup last week, now we are about to add the second battery to it both Bluecarbon 15kw….

Please how do I parallel both? So I will get a single source out of them ?

Thanks a lot…

Use a busbar..
Use equal lengths of cable to connect both battery packs to the busbar.....then do same busbar to inverters

I'll be glad if I can get any lead here.

Thanks in advance

You can use Addo smart tabular battery, You will have rest of mind

What's your wattage consumption on gen mode?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by litaninja(m): 10:44am On May 19
A quick question about this. The equal length cabling is the typical recommendation for Lead Acid batteries, however with Lithium, each pack is an "entity" on its own with BMS, breaker, e.t.c.
Is it still necessary to follow this recommendation strictly since the BMS will still end up balancing the individual cells with minimal differences in the voltage getting to busbars / inverter?
