Thanks for all the comments and advice on this forum. I just picked up my passport yesterday and myself and my husband were given our first Schengen visas with multi entry.

Received collection mail this afternoon for all 4 applications but was quite busy at work.
Will pick up tomorrow. Will notify you all if it was successful or not.
Never been denied visa before so giving myself high hopes😂😂

My first Schengen visa was from France. Applied for 8 days single entry for myself and my kids and we all got one year (didn’t even know it was one year initially…till I took a closer look at the dates).
The visa is expiring next month (June 2024) and we have just applied and submitted yesterday in Abuja. Will update once it’s out. We applied for 11 days single entry this time.

God is faithful.

A normal picture of both of us.You can use your wedding photo if you like. We just decided to use a general photo.

Check online for samples. It should be addressed to the consulate, have a heading, introduce yourself and write passport no, the visa you are applying for, duration of your trip. List out your trip Itinerary and number it. Write out documents your are attaching, Conclude and write your name.

What duration were you given?

It’s good people include Travel Health Insurance bought from Europe even ahead of the trip than buying insurance after it has been granted. This increases applicants’ chances but they don’t know.

You can’t submit your documents without including a health insurance, there is no choice here.

Moreso, can one just go for passport collection once the date on the collection slip/paper as passed?

How can something bought after visa is granted increase the chance of getting same visa?

Assuming you have used Nigerian insurer when applying, you can also go ahead and buy that of Europe, if you truly want to insure yourself throughout your stay.
No Nigerian insurer will honor bills drawn on them for treatment carried out on a traveler abroad.
Lots of those policies we buy in Nigeria are fake.

You can buy but it won’t improve your chance of getting a visa because the visa has already been issued and you can no longer add it to that application.
If you like buy €1,000,000 insurance from Ergo, an embassy that will reject your application will still do.
I have better things to do on a Wednesday morning than schooling a closed mind.
People are still worried about the increase in the application fee from €80 to €90 starting on June 11th then you are here telling to buy a foreign insurance for a visit visa .

What cards did anyone who had done before used?

But there’s variation on expiry dates.
I, the mum was issued 5yrs visa while 2 of my kids were issued 3yrs visa each. But my last child who is 3yrs old was issued only 2yrs visa.
Is this normal?
I intend to write to the embassy incase it was an error.
Any input?
Meanwhile this is our second Schengen visa.
First time was 1yrs for all of us.
