Olayemi said the CBN has engaged many of the players on the need to strengthen their operations. He said that in a bid to block money laundering and illicit flows, CBN brought up measures that will tighten the sector up on both new and existing client base. Toh 40 Likes |

It was a foolish decision in the first place. An ignorant move by the CBN. Threatening bank customers through banks. Since this useless directive was given, OPay and other mobile banks should tell us how much loss they recorded. Sending an improving Naira back to being useless. Cryptocurrency trading should be allowed. EFCC and CBN should do their work in targeting money launderers not ordinary traders. Unfortunately, EFCC can’t differentiate between traders and launderers. It’s an eyesore. 46 Likes 5 Shares |

acili: The reason for stopping the onboarding of new customers was genuine. Why should these fintechs be hawking debit cards like gala and carbonated drinks? They skip KYC and allow fraudsters to use their platforms for fraud and illicit businesses. Btw, they should include betting platforms as the crooks and fraudsters use them for transferring stolen money to their accounts. 20 Likes 2 Shares |

I am confident that as time goes on, and hopefully in another couple of months, all these will be something of the past and then you will see the sector going back into what they’ve been known to do before, but certainly with a very stronger regulatory framework.”We truly hope so. Anything to make this country great is all we are after at MANNA. Nigeria will be great in our lifetime whether, Whether the evil ones like it or not. God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬. Our 9ja commercial banks are fraud. Just cos of the competition that has taken most of their customers due to their fraudulent charges to this fintech banks, they are waging war against them thru the federal govt. I prefer opay to our normal naija banks, 💯 The banking sector is a cabal on its own. Did you see the elites at Wigwe funeral. They know themselves at the top n they feed on the masses wealth. Did you know how much was donated by these banks during covid lockdown to FG? CBN, banks n our bereau de change is another. We need a total overhaul of these people in govt but these politicians can't be trusted. I don't believe in any of them....i mean NONE! 32 Likes 3 Shares |

Jagabanbattle: Why should people and agents be permitted to use POS with a business address in Abuja but operate in Portharcourt? The Fintechs are complying with the directives and correcting the abnormalities and you are here complaining of loss. 6 Likes 2 Shares

It's dishearteningly true. The EFCC appears lacking in proper training for cyber intelligence and financial crime intelligence, evident in their failure to target money launderers effectively. Instead, they seem to prioritize minor victories, like apprehending yahoo boys, to maintain a facade of productivity. The recent exposure of EFCC's compromised state only exacerbates the issue, rendering them incapable of tackling the root of the problem – the politicians and powerful individuals behind these illicit activities. In an ideal scenario, the EFCC would focus on dismantling the networks of bank MDs, money launderers, and bureau de change owners, but alas, it seems like wishful thinking in today's reality. 4 Likes |

I don't get. Why July? It seems the government Hates anything that makes life easy for the citizens. Instead of the banks to find a way to resolve their terrible network they are looking for a way to frustrate it? If the banks had very good network without frequent transaction errors will people go for opay and moniepoint? 8 Likes 1 Share |
