Amotolongbo:

That's how to know an ambitious club.

Poch is an average coach. He doesn't have this winning mentality.

Chelsea is a big club, qualifying for Europa is not their standard.

Ngozi united is very much happy with their mediocre coach even after finishing 8th on the table.

Assnal fans are saying this is their best season, even after going trophy less without playing any finals.
nah Pochettino be their coach when dey finish 12th position in 2022/2023 season Or maybe Chelsea dey bigger than Liverpool Wey give Jurgen Klopp more time he first arrive Liverpool that year before e come collect awaiting premier league trophy for over 30yrs for dem and champions league the truth is that Chelsea no dey get patient at alllllll I wan ask you maybe nah the day Wey dem born you nain you get white beard? I'm a Chelsea fan. A club with a history of sacking managers anyhow.

But I must admit this took me by surprise.

Why didn't they inform me first? undecided

On a serious note, it's back to square one for us.

And bad news for Enzo Fernandez. The team seemed to do well in his absence and I'm not sure the new coach will favour him.

Yes o, the injury made the coach realised his mistakes. Like ezo and not using chaloba. Two clean sheet in a row in league game without gusto. The problem with poch is that he was using too many error players in the team at the same time as he did against arsenal

Chelsea better go for ruthless Julian Negessman

Stupid club and their management decisions.

Todd Boehly will ruin that club.

The coach already got them on the right track playing like a team and winning... All they had to do was work with him next season to solidify his philosophy.

Probably why De Zerbi hurriedly resigned.

Another Brighton coach headed to Stamford Bridge.

Sacking him is not my problem, but getting a coach like De zerbi will be a problem

This is not a surprise news to greater number of Chelsea fans worldwide. We've expected that he was sacked when Chelsea flooted between 10th & 12th positions for four good months. Although, he started doing well lately towards the end of the season but that was not enough reason to retain him as Chelsea Head Coach in the coming 2024/2025 football season.

I'm totally in support of the sack.

I left..!

I had expected him to be sacked earlier, but his performance of late shows he has been able to understand and blend the players. Don't forget he is new there and most of the players are young and new at the club. He would have known the weakness of the team and try to strengthen it. My take his that if he remains with the team, Chelsea would be stronger and better next season and a new coach may need to understand the players and probably start afresh just like the former coach did. Anyway we pray for the better to happen to the team

Given time, Bobby De Zerbi might deliver with that team, since it's an upgrade from the one he is leaving at Brighton.

The issue is he won't do anything better than what Pochettino has set in motion.

They should have allowed Poch another season to see if he continues to grow and improve from here, rather than starting another experiment with another coach.

Lack of patience won us the two UCL we had. We need this impatience to win another UCL in the nearest future.
It doesn't always work like that. Look at the likes of Man City and Liverpool, they gave their managers some ample time to blend with the team and you can see the result.

Tuchel replacing Lampard was never a mistake, cos at the time Chelsea was doing awfully bad with no sign of improvement anywhere. But Pochetino seem to have picked up, we moved from 11th position to 6th in few weeks, that's alot.

Things work differently for different clubs or people. Chelsea got to 3 UCL finals and all the three coaches who took them there are interim coaches:
1. Avram Grant
2. Di Matteo
3. Thomas Tuchel

Chelsea won 5 EPL and all the coaches that won it actually won all of them within their first and second year. That's how Chelsea works. Imagine, before that time, Chelsea have been waiting for 50 years and forever for an EPL and a UCL respectively.

Follow what works for you.

sir...I totally understand you narrative but that was then when a club just buys mercenaries in terms of already established players bring them together and just win . You can see PSG are still struggling.

The trajectory of football has taken another shape this time ..you have to blends players, grow with them, the chemistry must be there, have a philosophy and style of play e.t. c thanks to Pep who nailed it for all club to be copying...klopp too played a major role with his high speed pressing football.

That's what man utd are trying to do after Ferguson as you know they brought in already established players and change coach like wrapper and nothing came out.

Bro sincerely things have changed ...Chelsea may just be learning the hard way cos of thier impatience.

Pep won the league with bayern and got signed by man city and came out 3rd position..thank God man city saw the future and kept faith..if it was Chelsea he will be sacked.

My conclusion even if inzaghi comes and performed below expectation cos I really don't see him winning the league in his first season....(for me next season is either Pep.. or Arterta.) Will Chelsea be patient with him. grin

I disagree. 2021 is the last time it happened and it was the UCL. That's not far away. Chelsea is a team that always want to win trophies and they do it. A Chelsea team in form for one month can quickly scoop a trophy. That's the mentality in the club. Patience doesn't get you this stuff. If it's a lie, ask Arsenal. They waited on Wenger for years to win them the UCL, but nothing good came out. If not for wasteful Jackson this year, Chelsea would have made the top four comfortably. Next season will be far better, even with a new coach. That's Chelsea FC for you.

Inzaghi or Terzic can redefine our brand to an attacking brand and either coaches reaching the finals of UEFA CL last year and this year added to their league performances are signs of good things to come. Either of them can lead Chelsea to winning the league or at worst a 2nd podition if they bolster the team with players.
