lyort:I was told brand new isn't so good that you can't return it if it doesn't work well.…so I bought direct Belgium but the pump I decided to buy a brand new one today |
Re: Car Talk Chat Room by lyort: 2:47pm On May 18 |
Veryuglyme011: The main components of an hydraulic steering system: the steering pump, steering rack and the high pressure hose. the pump does only one thing: to pump the fluid with high pressure into the rack, the pressure hose does only one thing which i believe you already know. Where the hydraulic operation that keeps your steering soft takes place is in the steering rack. More than 70% of the steering rack you call belgium are Nigerian used racks that were repaired and put back to shelf. So replace your steering rack with a brand new one and if you still want a belgium(with guarantee), send me an email |
Re: Car Talk Chat Room by Abbeyismo(m): 12:59pm On May 21 |
Veryuglyme011:If you stay idle and press the acceleration while you turn the steering if it soft it possible the steering rack is bad but if it does not it possible the power steering pump is bad. The high pressure hose hope there's no welding on it cause if there's need to be change because it can cause delay in flow of oil to the rack. |

Re: Car Talk Chat Room by nurey(m): 9:07pm On May 22 |
lexini: you may need to scan the transmission. The issue may also be suspension related, you may need a physical inspection to diagnosis the issue by a qualified technician. |

What are the best options for finding low down payment cars in San Antonio, including dealerships, specific brands, and any potential promotions or special financing deals available for new or used vehicles, as well as requirements for credit scores and documentation, and how these deals compare in terms of monthly payments? |

His intentions are to use it for board passangers when going to work and also for free time (on weekends). Kindly suggest the suitable kind of car he would fit in. i suggested Honda Pilot but i dont the cons of the vechile |
Re: Car Talk Chat Room by LudaChriz(m): 12:39pm On Jun 06 |
There's this Toyota Camry 2001 that I wanted to buy, Nigerian used with clean body. Invited a friend who uses same car to check it out but he suggested the rings are not good and that the car smokes after dipping his finger into the exhaust pipe and saw dark smoke in his finger. NB: He did not drive the car as there was no enough fuel. He only started the engine and left it for some times Please what's your take on this? Should I invite a technician to check it out? What's the cost of rings assume I have to change them? What's the implication of the dark smoke? The last user of the car is a soldier as I was told |
Re: Car Talk Chat Room by jceesquare(m): 1:52pm On Jun 06 |
LudaChriz:Black smoke is synonymous with high fuel consumption. Blue, greyish, and white colour is what you should be worried about. Take a technician there for proper inspection. |

One new hustle is the auto repair space. A lot of Nigerians suffer fraud & abuse at the hands of mechanics due to their busy schedules. For a N10k-N15k daily fee, you can accompany a vehicle to the mechanic as an advisor to block any fraudulent jobs. Thank me later! ✌️ Available for vehicle/Tokunbo delivery and part-time, Full day, or travel Driver. Call/WhatsApp 08163908793 |

Re: Car Talk Chat Room by Bola4boy(m): 9:45am On Jun 09 |
Pls where can I get a genuine upstream oxygen sensor for my Honda accord 2005. High fuel consumption wan reck me |
Re: Car Talk Chat Room by Babatundehy: 10:16am On Jun 09 |
Bola4boy:Firstly, is your car a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder engine? What's your mpg? And what results do you have from scanning? |
Re: Car Talk Chat Room by Bola4boy(m): 11:17am On Jun 09 |
Babatundehy:4 cylinder. The code got is interpreted to be faulty upstream oxygen sensor. Asides that. The car runs smoothly. I get 4 3km/litre |
Re: Car Talk Chat Room by Babatundehy: 11:32am On Jun 09 |
Bola4boy:That makes about 10mpg, not good, city or highway? Even in the city my V6 does 12mpg with AC on, 10mpg is not okay for a four cylinder, even in the city. |
Re: Car Talk Chat Room by Bola4boy(m): 12:57pm On Jun 09 |
Babatundehy:city drive. With ac most times. I need genuine oxygen sensor biko |
