Have you asked yourself why the narratives are different the in other countries? Do you know that Shell never makes more than 5% profit in their joint ventures in the niger delta and that over 80% of the profit they make goes to government and government owned organizations?
olisaEze:
Seventy years of Shell profiting off the lives/livelihoods of millions, is seventy years of the Fg enabling the destruction of the region just for politicians to afford new SUVs every budget cycle and send their kids to expensive schools abroad. Shell has been exploring in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan to the benefit of their host communities with minimal damages, but it’s only in Nigeria that they have been comfortable in destruction. Look to your FG, foreigners cannot overvalue lives the govt has already undervalued. undecided

And you actually think this is not what they do? Shell never gives money to any community leader. They do community projects instead.
qtx:
People should stop giving justifications for shell to continue what they are doing. Shell is in a position to insist that they want to part with monies and see what the monies achieve. Through a legal agreement, they can enforce it.

When will she confont those militants bursting pipe or doing kpo fire 😏

Militants bursts pipeline for a reason.
Crude oil is for every State+ FCT but gold, lithium and other minerals are not shared likewise.
Have you been to the Niger Delta before militants started bursting pipelines?

If you have, then you would have seen that there's nothing to show for all the decades of oil explorations.

all the petrodollars are shared every month by the 36 states + FCT and nothing goes to the host committies whose lands have been devastated, whose means of livelihood has been destroyed together with their ecosystem.
Can you tell me where the proceeds of Gold and solid minerals mined across Nigeria ends up?

Sometimes I wonder why people choose to be blind to injustices.

Don't say what you don't know.
Do you know that since the 50s Shell BP has been exploring and lifting petroleum from Nigeria unmetered?
Just of recent their huge profits dwindled after sapping Nigeria dry.

She can call out Shell who she has access to at the moment and Nigerians can call out the locals in their communities who participate in those activities

Does she have to do everything?

I salute her courage and really wish this energy could be channelled to the appropriate quarters.

She should demand accountability from the president, governors, senators and REP members representing Niger Delta, She should lay demands on king, she should visit Tompolo, and other warlords..

Then they should put into consideration all those issues listed by the lady. If they were doing enough, she would not have complained that way. The gas flaring alone is something else. They can't even try that in any western country. It's just because they still view Africans as subhumans

You should be the one not to say things you know absolutely nothing about. Who told you theyve been lifting crude u metered? Some of you guys just come online to write rubbish. Go and hold your government accountable for not developing your country and leave the oil companies alone because it is not their responsibility. They perform their corporate social responsibility adequately. At least, the international ones do.

:- You see traditional rulers telling oil companies to buy them houses and cars, instead of developing the communities and when they refuse, they send militant to disturb their operation

Part of the problem we have down the length and breadth of Nigeria are these Traditional rulers and the Traditional musicians / actors / actresses who are their praise singers and all of them aid and abet the corrupt leeches called politicians to hold every one hostage with crippling corruption.

They are corrupt cos the government is corrupt... the truth is that every company wanna make money by any means ....if shell wants to make money thru the legitimate way , but top government officials down to presidency , introduces them to corrupt practices, do u think they will resist ?? As they say , if u go tk Rome, u act like the Romans .... only Nigeria will hire a foreign coach and tell him that they will release a statement to the press on his salary but he will only get half , while they share half ...if he refuses, he will not get the job... if u know how much shell coughs out to bribe , so that operations can go on... only in Nigeria will Yahoo be seen as an acceptable job , only in Nigeria can the military arrest a civilian for trival issues , only in Nigeria will people hoard Fx to make it scarce just to make profit, only in Nigeria will government officials in conjunction with military personals bunker crude oil, only Nigeria will a known criminal like portablebe made police ambassador,
only in Nigeria will a criminal militant and a bunkerer be given billions to protect pipelines, only Nigerian referees are not invited to ref in tournaments because of their corrupt ways to avoid match fixing, only in Nigeria a man with no past record be elected to rule ... The courts are the bedrock of corruption... so what will u have shell and the rest do ??.. Nigeria is a very damaged country

After reading through this,
I can't but agree with yhu....
Such a FANTASTICALLY CORRUPT NATION.
