now they can remain as you said, now what if fubara installs his own and gives them funds to execute projects thereby forming different factions of LGA chairmen like they have in house..

Now different is that these LGA that is loyal to wike will be starved of funds like the 25 lawbreakers.. while fubara men will be given states funds.

Of course, he can. They will just have to operate from governors office like his illegitimate HOA members and won't be able to hijack the structure at the grassroot.

You really think the fight about control of local government is for execution of projects?

Lol, It's not an assumption. That is what will happen.

U were so damn sure Wike will get PDP presidential ticket, but we all know what happened eventually. Be humble and just accept it may happen or may not happen; so if doesn't happen u won't have to turn amala o

Na wetin Godfatherism dey cause be that na. Fubara is a beneficiary of godfatherism himself so he no fit too complain, na to find way to deal with them be the koko
I know why fubara doesn't want to use the big hammer on them

Because they re his own niggas too, na them rig fubara in so him no go too rough handle them on to say, Dem Too get history..

If na opposition party or governor with his own opposition party and men, you think say these urchins go dey fúck around like these..

Na cause Dem and fubara get history, na why fubara dey back track to treat their fuckups with the full might of a sitting governor..

It won't cost much to send some hungry cultists wey full rivers to off those men and their lineage.. those LGA men Dem no to get escorts and mobile police guards like that..

Different scenario. Wike controls the PDP structure in Rivers State and also controls PDP NWC.

Only way out for Fubara is to decamp to maybe LP ,build his own structure with funds and start the hijack.

On a serious not, the truth is; Local governments in Nigeria are more like an extension of the state government's civil service. LG chairmen are more like the governor's employees. If a state governor wants to deal with them, he can actually do that.

I have a fair understanding of Fubara's problem and I believe they are self-inflicted .

Some other governor would've just behaved like a fool, won't go confrontational with Wike early enough , conduct LG elections, then decide on dealing with Wike. If the new LG chairmen chose to side with Wike in the struggle, he will use state executive power to deal with them, deny them funding and they will not have any choice than to severe ties with Wike .

That way, he would've built his structure and be able to have a say on the next governorship election. Fubara showed his hands too early , that's why he's having all these unnecessary headache . That's why LG chairman fit dey insult him on camera.

LG chairman that accused Dapo Abiodun of seizing LG funds in Ogun state, Na the Local government excos sponsored by state government impeach am almost immediately.

if fubara is hell bent in still dealing with them, he can always will..

Like I said, he is the one that is lil livered because maybe he has one or two history with them based on past scenarios..

If fubara decides today that it's enough.. he will surely send all of them Usain bolt..

It is not just about money. Infact, Emuoha LG chairman has not been given funds since February. The others have not received funds in the last one month. He has also siezed the funds of HOA members. Not a single one of them has crawled back to him.

As someone else noted, this guys know how they brought him, they know how he will be removed.

One thing I agree with is, he started too soon. I know Wike can be overbearing but he saw him like that before he agreed to run as governor.

3 months no long na, can they do 1 year? 2 years? As long as na Fubara dey in charge, those Wike loyalists have only two options... whither in die while staying loyal to Wike, or jump ship and go with Fubara... Most will stay loyal to Wike mainly cause he's still relevant at the federal level, and partly because they owe him some loyalty.

The party structure in Rivers is not all Wike's, it's Wike and Fubara's, and if Fubara plays his cards well, or Wike loses relevance at the federal level, that party structure will be all Fubara.

people underate the power of money and power in Nigeria

Fubara has the money and the power, the battle is still long.. if he plays his card right , he will collect all those useless structures from wike..

Person get the structure before wike took it, person go still take an after wike..

No be only structure.

Why does he not want to conduct local government elections since he has the structure. He knows if he's lucky, he wins one or two of all 23.

This just shows there was no proper planning in place before the federal government began this Calabar Coastal road hurriedly .

Umahi who is supposed to be an engineer proceeded on a project of such magnitude without carrying out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) .chai! That was the same report the Arise News journalist was asking Umahi the engineer about and he just trivialized it and some unreasonable people were bashing the lady talking about irrelevant things.

So if the teleco operators had not cry out about the potential damage to the submarine cables along that route , that’s how these people would’ve caused serious internet connectivity problems all over the country and they will start using propaganda to blame saboteurs . 🤦‍♂️

It’s like this government want to outdo Buhari’s in the area of being clueless . The only saving grace they have is that after taking a clueless decision, they always have the courage to swallow their pride and backtrack

As long as Lagos state gave approval for properties to be built on the path of the road, somebody would eventually be hurt when the project eventually commenced. The project has been conducted hastily, and the EIA which would have given everybody fair warning of what was to be done, and carried relevant stakeholders along to limit damage was never done, all because Tinubu wants his son and his French buddies to cashout.

The landmark guy in one of his interviews I watched said there's another path that would have had less impact on businesses and people.

Much as I support the project, I 100% agree that nothing like due process was carried out.

I guess the brand of polictics they play in Rivers is strong man politics where u have to match violence for violence . U need to show u are the boss and that u are unafraid to let the city burn. Look at how Fubara loyalists too burn down the House of Assembly without flinching

I think the residents too are used to it. At least itsrm dey talk say e no concern am whether Fubara perform or not. They all seem unperturbed about the seeming apprehension that violence may break out anytime soon.

Fubara is building his structure brick by brick, abi no be PDP members dey call Wike half-dead for public. The LGA chairmen can remain in office, by the time the three years finish, na their time dem don waste. Wike cannot run a parallel government in Rivers successfully, no matter the level of influence he wields...Fubara's goons will collect allocation and private sector companies know enough than to do dealings with the governor of Abuja when their business is in Rivers...Fubara and his boys are in charge, at least until 2027.
