We are not saying we want to share a country with you. In fact, we will be happy to let you bear another name different from Nigeria. However, what we are saying is that there will never be an independent drug trafficking nation in West Africa, not to talk of being Nigeria's neighbor.

That will be another Mexico beside USA. So our advice is that you talk to your fellow drug trafficking nations like Mexico, Columbia, e.t.c. to give you a small piece of land within their own drug farms so that you can migrate your people there. You just need a small piece of land around the area that Mexico, Columbia, e.t.c. are, just a small piece afterall the land you occupy in Nigeria which is split into 5 states is not even up to the size of Niger State alone

But the current nigerian president is a confirmed drug trafficker who happens to originally come from the south west which most of u have been worshipping? Igbos doesn't have such leaders in their midst so why the contradiction and hypocrisy? The issue of wether if there will ever be anything like biafra or not is not really for any mortal man to decide with any certainty it will surely come if the universe approves it no amount of evil wishes, evil projections, curses and propaganda can help you guys to stop it from coming to reality what is currently happening in palestine is a very good example.

It depends on what part of Anioma. No one from Anioma associates themselves with igbo. Geographically is it even possible that the people from the hinterland are less original than the people who leave on the fringes?

So I say again Anioma is not Igbo. Plain and simple
just see as you dey contradict yourself in one sentence. Na waoh.

Which hinterland? Seems I have to send you a large copy of Nigeria map work special zoom effect of the south east.

Who says that Onitsha is not part of Igbo or Biafra? They have continued this propaganda perpetuated by Gowon during the war when he gave the Eastern governorship seat to Asika Ukpabi, an indigent of Onitsha in order to spite Ojukwu who declared Biafra. Ukpabi then rallied around his people and declare their non interest in Biafra

Since that time, some people rode on that ploy that was sanctioned by the northern oligarchs to divide the Igbos. They have successful brainwashed Ikwerre when Gowon visited Port Harcourt in solidarity during the war to distant them from Ndigbo. Till today, that propaganda still stood. They divide and they rule. I know you people might say that Nnaemeka Achebe is a custodian and should know the facts but cultural, linguistically and virtually otherwise, we are not the same with Bini people. If everyone claim to be Bini like Ikwerre people do, then where do Bini from? From the sky? (By the way, I don't even believe that Ikwerre people are not Igbos, because it's like saying, I am from Mbaise, I am not Igbos)

We call God Chineke, and they have theirs. Must everything be linked with the Bini people. Even Lagos State is proclaimed to be Bini original dwelling place, so Yorubas came from Bini too? What is so special about them that everyone else have to come from them? Then change the name of Nigeria to Bigeria
Some parts of Urhobo-Isoko land (Olomu, Ewhe, etc) claim they migrated from Igbo land. Even though they don't regard themselves as Igbos today, that doesn't make them forgot their source of origin or be ashamed of it. In the ancient past when the earth was sparsely populated, people love to welcome migrants to stay with them and build a larger community for joint security, friendliness, procreation, amongst other purposes. Every clan/people have origin and should be proud of it.

😂😂 ife was greatly influenced by the bini kingdom, ife didn't even have a monarchy, how then did ife give bini a king when the bini kingdom is older than ife, even the obi of onitsha dresses more like a bini royalty the staff he carries resembles that of the oba of bini

He said not only onitcha, and he didn't say that onitsha were yorubas rather they lived as neighbours to the yorubas before the came down to their brothers, he said that ijebu Igbo and so on are Igbos that didn't return

As much as I can't contest the kings stance on Onitsha but he's very wrong about ijebu Igbo . The Igbo in Ijebu stands for farm , bush or forest or the rural part of the town and it has nothing to do with the Igbo tribe at all. The other part of Ijebu Igbo is Ijebu-Ode and if you're a Yoruba language speaker you can easily understand that Ode is the opposite of Igbo.

Eze wasn't Priest but King subjectively. Ezeji, Ezede, Ezeogwu, Ezeala, Ezenwanyi, Ezeogo, Ezeagwu etc meant King of different subjects including dieties. Igbos also had Obi as leader by inheritance but different from Eze. Obi was a first son of other first sons and his abode is known as Isiobi.

While Eze is an expert or king of a field Obi is a leader of people. Igbos say "Obi aka Eze" which means Obi even though a leader is not bigger than a King.
Your post and examples validated my point. Eze alludes to spiritual authority or gift not political authority. Traditional Igbo society had no kings who ruled but spiritual authority who reigned such as Eze Nri.

Eze Agwu means an Agwu priest
Eze nwanyi means a female priest or priestess
Eze ogwu means someone gifted in medicine or a native doctor.
Ezemuo means chief priest etc

Most traditional rulers that bear Igwe title still bear Eze title signifying their spiritual authority. Igbo conceptualisation of monarchy is spiritual and very less political.

Obi is from Oba - a Yoruba word for king.

Olukumi people in Agbor are also Yorubas.

Bini royalty is Yoruba.

I think you have to study that yourself. What separates us from the East. Don't try and discredit ones knowledge of something simply because you want to drive a narrative. So now we will consider Delta and co as Igbos...? What separates us from the East is the river hence the bridge.

Maybe you may call people of Ibusa and and Asaba Igbos. But you see Agbor down to Onichaugbo, they have a very different traditions of Origin. The Obi still pays homage to the Oba of Benin and not to any Eastern King.

Ndigboo why are you ppl so dumb. This is not what the man said but many of you just support it. Our ancestors were called Ndi Mbu (First people) on earth. They were known to migrate, explore and discover lands. What the man said was that it was the some Igbos who migrated that returned. They didn't lose their language or culture. Igbos migrated to Ife and lived their as one ppl with them. A war started and it was difficult to defeat them. I think that was what brought Oduduwa and he helped them defeat the Igbos and they were sent
packing. They have no choice than to return to their original land. They settled in Anambra. Their Ways was similar to those of the West cos they lived their for many years and have mixed it their original Ways with that of the West. They never lost their language. The other Igbos are those beyond the River who never mixed or migrated. Anambra was before Nigeria. Go to Igbo Ukwu Museum in Anambra and you will find things older than any tribe in Nigeria. Anambra is Ana Edo. Edo in Igbo means gold. It was the land of Gold (Eden). Their was gold their in Prehistoric times.

Many places in Yoruba land ended with Igbo to show their influence in Ife. But many ppl of hate won't tell their ppl this truth. They instead told them that Igbo mean bush and that those places mean bush. Why then is Obatala nicknamed Oba Igbo? Is he Oba bush? Let's just leave that one. They never told them that Igbos are also Aboriginals of Ife. Oduduwa helped them before Igbos were sent packing from Ife. They even celebrate that event till today. They respect and praise Oduduwa for what he did for them. The guy even migrated to the land. Why do Yorubas never teach their ppl this? This is why they hate Igbos. The Obi told you guys that we are related. Afa/Ifa are the same

And throughout his talk, he always called Onitsha people Igbos who were in Ife. He never refereed to them as any other tribe than Igbo. Nobody in Onitsha referred to Igbos as nwa onye Igbo, I don't know where you guys got that one from. And no Onitsha indigene has ever referred to themselves as any other thing than Igbo

That Igbos pased through Ife and Bini on their way back to the East neither makes them Ife nor Bini
Ibos passed through ife and benin, coming from where? and why is it called Onitsha Ado n Idu, and not Onitsha igbo/Eri?

Do you know that Oba of Benni is one of Oduduwa son?

The Oduduwa you people said fell from the sky? 😅😅. Even Jesus Christ didn't fall from the sky. He was born.

Now, let me lecture you on some history. Prince Ekaladerhan (Oduduwa) was the only son of the exiled King Ogiso Owodo. He was a Benin Prince. Ekaladerhan (Oduduwa) went on to found Ile-ife. When his father was banished from the kingdom, the Benin people went about looking for his son to come become king in benin. Instead of coming, he sent his son, Oraminyan. And the rest is history.

ile-Ife was founded by a Benin prince, similar to the way the Benins founded Eko (lagos) under Oba Orhogba, the Oba of Benin at the time. I hope you know the real name of Lagos is Eko? Lagos is just a recent name given by the Portuguese.

The reason most Africans are so stupidly neck deep into tribalism and war against themselves is basically because they don't know their history
Now look at how this king is tracing a historical relationship btw an Igbo people to Ife (Yoruba) and Benin...yet these three people insult each other on the basis of tribalism for no reason..,May Africans have sense someday so that they CAN unite to do the right things for themselves and nation

The transcript / translation of what the Obi of Onitsha said is wrong. It is either mischievous or comes from a place of ignorance of Igbo language or lack of proficiency in same. He stated that some Igbo people migrated from Eri in Eastern Nigeria to Ado (present day Ife). Some of them migrated back to Igboland. He stated that the people of Ijebu-Igbo are Igbo people who did not return to their homeland. During the reverse migration, Igbo people founded settlements in Benin and Delta State and some of them stayed there and some of them returned to Onitsha.

The Obi of Onitsha emphasized that the peoples of southern Nigeria are related. He called for unity among the people.

I beg to differ....
A simple analysis of our language shows we are related.
Water - Omi-nmiri
Goat - Ewure- Ewu
Ewu.— Ewurẹ. — Goat.
Stone - okuta- okute
Torotoro—. Tolotolo. — Turkey.
Ọnu.—Ẹnu. — Mouth.
Nti.— Eti. — Ear.
Rat- okute-oke
Agba.— Agbon. — Chin.
Imi. — Imu—. Nose.
Iba. —Iba. — Fever.
Gbọrọ. — Gbọ.— Hear.

And a lot of other examples.

When you come to our food and cuisines, there are also a lot of similarities

A common love for eating similar things like spinach, egusi, palm oil and other vegetables. A love for swallow fufu, wheat and eba

A similar traditional worship system.
A belief in multiple gods
Use of masquerades in festivals

I could go on and on.

If you were to look at the igbo and yoruba people without a politically colored glasses, we are one people with more in common than we choose to believe
Sorry this doesn't change anything.

Going by your logic, Igbos are related fulanis because we were told God created one man and one woman.

Anyway we Igbos shares nothing in common with yorubas and don't wish to share.

To simplify all what the Obi said, Igbo people where migrating and they stopped across several towns like Ife and Benin to rest of which some people stayed back in those towns and others continued their journey to their present place after the River Nile.

No need for long stories.

Where were they migrating from when they got to ife?. And why is it called Onitsha Ado n' Idu?
