😂😂 ife was greatly influenced by the bini kingdom, ife didn't even have a monarchy, how then did ife give bini a king when the bini kingdom is older than ife, even the obi of onitsha dresses more like a bini royalty the staff he carries resembles that of the oba of bini

See delusion. Which influenced the other? You cannot find any traces of Benin influence on ife or Yoruba till date. Benin bear Yoruba names, worship their idols, has a dynasty from Yoruba. Earliest historian like Egharevba, who were closer to elders wrote correct history in 1930s that are twisted today.

If Oduduwa is from Benin what legacy did he leave in Ìfẹ as a Benin Son?

When Sango was going to revenge the maltreatment of his grandfather, he turned north but couldn't proceed further because of Niger River. Why didn't he face Benin?

Jjust mention one legacy of Benin on Ife and Yorubas. Even the bronze craft was of Benin was learned from Ìfẹ. Check the history.

Did Nairaland idioots understand what the Obi said? "Igbo bi na Ado na Idu" literally meaning Igbos living in Ado na Idu. Which solidifies the reverse migration of Igbo from the west.

Yoruba no match Igbos in anyway.

😂😂😂 Benin learnt bronze craft from ife ? Ancient ife wasn't even a monarchy, at some point strangers ruled ife even till today the ife royal household is being contested by several families and the ooni title is rotated among these families. An exiled bini prince ruled ife.

I think you have to study that yourself. What separates us from the East. Don't try and discredit ones knowledge of something simply because you want to drive a narrative. So now we will consider Delta and co as Igbos...? What separates us from the East is the river hence the bridge.

Maybe you may call people of Ibusa and and Asaba Igbos. But you see Agbor down to Onichaugbo, they have a very different traditions of Origin. The Obi still pays homage to the Oba of Benin and not to any Eastern King.
Onicha-Uku means great Onicha, Onicha-Ugbo means Onicha farm and their father is Eze Chime and not Shola or Osaretin.

Their dialect is very similar to central Igbo more than what the entire Enugu state speaks Agbo is less than 30 minutes drive to Benin yet they speak Igbo dialect and not Bini that you claim they have ancestry with Bini

I no know whether na witchcraft I go call this kind behaviour.

If you're not from that region don't tell what you don't know and don't attempt to rewrite their history with your prejudice.

why is Ijebu Igbo called Ijebu Igbo?
Ijebu igbo is the forest areas of ijebu. Igbo being forest/bush. The pronunciation is also different from igbo(tribe).

Check your history from real historian not bloggers. Nowhere in Yoruba land is a particular prince ascends to throne, every prince has equal rights and jostle for the seat.

Eboes (See Olaudah Equiano) or Ibos... Present day now use Igbo for whatever reason is known to them.

That they share the same Anglo-Latin letters does not connote the same thing. And it was done in the 1970s. I know why, but I won't say it.

Igbó - Bush/forest (or weed). Tonal marks. It's different from the tribe's name.

In Yorùbá's suffixation to towns, it describes a town situated in the forest.

No correlation.

And the bold is wrong.

This topic isn't for every Tom, Dick, and Harry to comment on. This is a history that's almost lost and not even known to historians, except as the Ooni of Ife regularly tries to enlighten everyone based on the oral history passed to him as well.

“We still have House of Igbo right in this palace till date. We call it Ile Igbo up till now. Our ancestors are buried and transfigured there. That is where kolanut was first discovered and nurtured.

“The Igbos are still the biggest consumers and users of kolanut which is only planted in Yorubaland till date. Can the Igbos do without kolanut? ”

“The ancient Igbo house is one of the most sacred places in this palace till date..........The Ooni of Ife

I'll provide more details in my upcoming book. But you can get ahead with the attached information

It was a name given to him upon his baptism which is a common place in christendom. However, he never lost any of his indigenous names and identity to external influence. Onitcha Ado n' Idu bears the ancestry of the Onitsha people.

Is it any wonder why the Anioma people of Delta state always shout that they aren't Igbos when people try to instill it into the fabric of their own self determination?

Igbos will call the Anioma, Ikwerre and Ika people fake Igbos. When these same people say we aren't Igbos despite the fact that we sometimes bear and speak a section of the igbo dialect the Igbos would start insulting the Anioma people.

The truth beginning to come out. Igbos are the most colonized Nigeria tribe. They don’t even know anything about their history but still will have so much empty pride.

His royal majesty is a revered monarch. However, Ife was never known as Ado.

Even Yoruba called call Edo Ado. Ndi Idu is Igbo's name for Benin people.

The ancestor Idu is the earliest known traceable progenitor of Benin people. Not necessarily the first.
"
Ado-Ekiti have their own version of their relationship with Benin.

In 1970, Nnamdi Azikiwe wrote in his "My Genealogy and Nativity" and traced his paternal and Maternal lines to Benin. Naming all his ancestors way back to Benin when Ezechima left Benin. No Ife mentioned in it. Zik mentioned other Ezechima clans, including Isseluku, Onicha-Ugbo, Onicha-Olona, Aboh, etc. In Benin, we consider Issele uku line as the most senior Ezechima line.

However, being of Benin royal descent, Onitsha royals/ancient aristocracy, they only relate with Ife through Benin, if at all such exists between Benin and Ife.

He dresses more like the Oba of Benin than any SW traditional ruler. Onitsha as a town, has more resemblance to the Benin kingdom than any town in the SW. The names of some of their streets in Onitsha are of Benin origin. Even some Onitsha people bear names similar to Benin names.

You see that thing that is in Obi of Onitsha's hand? That's what the Benins call Eben. It's origin is purely Benin. Na men wey mount dey hold am.

Eben and Ada were the symbol of authority that On I use to hand over to the new Bini King in the time immemorial. Bini running away from Yoruba ancestry is simply illogical. Omo Ada Omo Eben. I am an Ijebu man with Bini ancestry from my mother side. Bini were from Ile Ife their language change due to cultural diffusion.

Ado is a very common name to relate to Ife. Meaning where we stand after leaving Ife. We have than twenty towns that have the morphism e.g. Ado-Odo, Ado-Ota, Ado-Ekiti, Ado in Ibeju Lekki, Ado in Ojo along Badagry Expressway and many more

Eben has been benin from a long time. If any traditional ruler uses it in the SW, it is a sign they have their origin from Benin

The reason most Africans are so stupidly neck deep into tribalism and war against themselves is basically because they don't know their history
Now look at how this king is tracing a historical relationship btw an Igbo people to Ife (Yoruba) and Benin...yet these three people insult each other on the basis of tribalism for no reason..,May Africans have sense someday so that they CAN unite to do the right things for themselves and nation
