The Invitation letter must be from someone who resides in the United State and is genuinely inviting you; if you used a forged Invitation letter, you would get yourself into a serious trouble that would see you banned from entering the United States for life

Forgery is a criminal offense, so it shouldn't be encouraged (nor "advisable" if you like).
The chances that you'd be caught is 95%, and the consequences is a 10 years ban; and even if you get through with the forged document, the odds of you getting a visa is still on the low side. So, is the risk worth it?

The embassy does not need ur invitation or the letter addressed to the embassy,u will need to write the letter to the friend or family u are inviting without the embassy's name.If the embassy needs to contact you they will use the application form filled by the applicant to check ur details.it can be formal or infomal letter

Obviously, there is issue with your financial circumstance, and that would make you ineligible to invite someone into the UK

Though it was a group application and when the consular officer refused the first person, all others going for the same purpose (conference) were also refused. I have since travelled to the UK and SAR Hong Kong last year. So, I'm wondering if there is any possible advise from your ends as to applying for the same conference again this year. I applied last year but couldn't get an interview date earlier than the scheduled date for the conference. Your advise would be greatly appreciated.

It would be premature to advice you based on this post since no one knows the reason for the previous visa refusal nor does anyone know your current circumstance

Not far from the truth, but first of all, know that Invitation Letter is not a necessity for tourist visa application, it is only to substantiate your purpose of wanting to visit a country if the situation warrant so.
Yes, there are some countries that are remarkably stringent in their diplomatic matters such countries like Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and some other Eastern European countries have their Home Ministries doing the assessments and making decisions on would-be visa applicants, and if they approve an invitation letter, the embassy is obliged to issue the visa (without much questions) except if they find reasons to deny them

Yes, any legal entity can invite someone, and such company can give out invitation, but whether it is approved or not is a different thing
