We should have scored that big chance. That #13 no try at all. I still think this team would have fare better on a good pitch. Western Boys pitch better pass the one wey dem dey play on. |

We no longer take our youth system seriously. When this present eagles are past their prime, we would suffer same fate as we did when Okocha's set left the scene. Another era of super chickens lies ahead. 1 Like 1 Share |

When are we going to produce another championship u-17 winning team? it usually bodes well for our football in general. The eaglets won world cup in 1993,the SE followed up in 1994 with AFCON and the Olympic team, gold in 1996 Olympic games. Similar thing happened in 2013,the eaglets won,the SE followed up, then the eaglets again in 2015. plus all the great talents that usually emerge after the competition. The NFF should start the habit of early preparation ,not five months to the competitions. If they want to win, they should start now to prepare for next edition which should be 12 months from now since it has become yearly event. 1 Like |

Meliforme: Passing the ball across your defense line like he did was never an advisable move. If we want to continue playing from the back, our players would learn how to occupy wide positions to provide more passing outlets. |

ChrisKels: You LIED again at NO TIME have I ever said I was part of some NFF instigated U17 screening exercise in London. You Lied At NO TIME did I say Oviemuno and Ademola were part of a U17 Nigeria national team, you LIED. There was a spurious chaotically organised screening exercise for Nigerian origin players in Europe, with some NFF instigation. I was very much aware of it even then l had doubts of the integrity of the process. Your create LIES and then ascribe them to a person unknown to you. You are bitter acidic twisted and unrepentant bare faced LIAR. 1 Like |

Napoleon55: Dude ๐ I don't know many professional football players you know in Europe. But it's not the way things ar done. The nation will select you not ๐ซ you to the nation. Our NFF like all institutions in Nigeria is intrinsically and overwhelmingly corrupt. You are making assumptions you really don't know anything about. It's not everything that happens that football players and or their associates will talk about in the public domain. What do you think as a Nigerian is the core focus of officials in the NFF. Do you think it's national interest โBe honest with yourself please ๐ฅบ What are all our institutions concerned about it's all about pecuniary๐ท๐ถ๐ต๐ธ๐ช๐ค. Having that in mind you can make assumptions knowing how we are. I've know 2/3 National team coaches and I know when they visit players in England they expect loyalty appreciation but not just with words. You can make clear examples about NFF coaches and officials demanding with full chest development fees. From clubs. Do you think ๐ญ it's normal in the Naija context for appreciation loyalty to be given and expected by NFF officials. If you are selected into the national team. As you know playing for the national team is a big boost and pathway to getting to Europe ๐. For players in Nigeria,I have heard of players signing off their bonuses to official. However, for Nigerian origin players already making waves in Europe it adds little or no value to them. They will not expect to pay for the privilege to play for Nigeria with pecuniary appreciation. Now you can make your own assumptions as a Nigerian. |
