The truth is the Kano Emirate division is burning because of one Sanusi. If Sanusi was retained as the Emir of Kano with the creation of 4 other Emirates as Gov Ganduje did, many people would not consider this an issue worthy of discussion.

El Rufai, Sanusi's best friend that went to rescue him when he was banished to Nasarawa turned in 2018 to divide the 3 traditional Emirates of Zazzau, Birrin- Gwari and Jemaa into 32 Emirates. It was not much an issue because it was not viewed as a personal vendetta.
