Experience in which job role? PR processing is on skilled Job 0 to 3 Teer or Teer 4-5 (low skill) which ends in April 2025 or so. His skill job experience will also determine the level of score expectations on the English Language Test.

You need to check Google the PR route (Federal Skilled Worker (Express Entry), Provinvial nomination and others) he is looking to explore and check the requirements.

gaeul:
Good day everyone. Please I have a question. My spouse have a year plus Canada experience which he achieved via SOWP. He is qualified for PR and am still a student. Can he apply for PR.
Re: Canada Spouse Open Work Permit (sowp)timeline by gaeul(f): 1:45am On May 21
Thanks
folla:
Yes.

He must have a valid IESLT result, though.

Hello all. I submitted SOWP and SP for my wife and 2 kids yesterday and while they have all gotten their UCIs, BIL is yet to drop. Should I be worried?

I am trying to submit my family application, and I notice that there is no option to upload financial documents.

I'm worried. How do I go about this please? I need help. Where should I upload the financial documents?

Anticipating your response.

Thank you

Check the POF required on IRCC portal.

It says around 21k if im applying alone and 27k if im applying for myself and my partner but my question is since she's applying alone, should I just show the 7k that ontop of it.

Honestly I get you, just submitted my husbands sowp too, we were so confused on how much to show as pof. So we put 5m in his account as well as my payslips for the past 6 months and proof of residency . Also had two sponsors as well.

One person is 21k right?
2 people shows as 27k like you said.
Now your partner is applying alone. It's logical that you show POF for one person which is 21k. How does 7k enter the table?
It's explicitly stated if you check IRCC website. Nothing ontop or below. So act right. Goodluck!!!

No sir/ma, the 21K is for the principal applicant, there are some costs that a dependent will not incur again, cost like housing and utilities. The ideal thing to do is to show a minimum of 7k, not just exact 7k, build some slack into the amount so that it is not considered to be on the bother line.

Please I can see people applying for SOWP as recent as last week. Does it mean that Canada is still accepting SOWP application?

So I saw an interesting thing today in IRCC portal maybe its new or I am the one that hasnt checked very well before now.

I have always argued that College students who have PGWP cannot bring in their spouse with SOWP but I saw an interesting side today checking through the conditions again especially the bolded below that referenced those with PGWP (under which a College graduants can fall under).

"-Family members of high-skilled workers
1. Proof of your relationship to the principal applicant
2. Proof that the principal applicant can or will be legally authorized to work in Canada
3. Proof that the principal applicant can work in Canada for at least 6 months after we receive the family member’s work permit application
4. Proof that the principal applicant is or will be working in an occupation in TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 of the National Occupation Classification system

For most open work permit holders, such as those under the PGWP program or International Experience Canada, the proof should be a letter from the principal foreign worker’s current employer that shows.

their employment details
their occupation
a description of their duties
the NOC or TEER category their job is classified under or a copy of the letter of offer of employment."

so from the above, it means that College graduants who are able to progress to PGWP visa and land a professional job can get there spouse SOWP so far there job lies within the professional NOC TEER Category 0-3.

Please disregard my earlier posts and I do apologise if I have made some peeps resigned to fate anout College route, I acknowledge my error and I am resharing again.

I would love to see those whose SOWP application journey were cut off by the exemption of College, try this path of PGWP if there spouse are able to get professional job.

Can Care job be classified as professional job?

Care job experience falls under Teer 4 to 5, its semi skilled not skilled. Someone here said Canada has a temporarry route for thos category of Teer 4 to 5 jobs for SOWP but it ends in April or May 2025. So yes you can take advantage of it.
