They do this to sway JWS to discourage them from University.

Anything you tell them, they will take. University education equips you with Critical thinking skills that will help you to survive. Watchtower doesn't want that. They want JWs as dependent on them as possible and they believe anything that is stupid to a normal human, they will take It without questioning.
