When you took out subsidy you didn't think hyperinflation?

They took out subsidy because at the end, as at August 2022...government was spending 90% of our income on debt service...subsidy removal knocked it down to 63%, Now it is back, it is 70% and rising.

Forget agbado, there is a cold reason why government was forced to do partial removal of subsidy.

Even if they brought it back, we would be spending N900 per liter to keep fuel at n200 or lower. That means over two thirds of our budget would go on subsidy. Meaning loans have to be taken to plug the resulting deficit., meaning more debt...plus inflation will rise like madt because government would be doing ways and means to pay for the subsidy...meaning CBN would be forced to spend money it don't have to pay for subsidy.

We should have removed that thing in 2012 or even 1993.

Those people saying 100k for minimum wage, remember that 60k offer is just for level 1 staff and no one is on level 1, they start from level 4 upward, presently Lagos state state on level 8 are collecting around 140k, we should think of hyperinflation.

Why didn't you think/ talk about hyperinflation when senators and political appointees collect millions per month?

A level 8 probably a graduate earns 140k in Lagos and you are proud to say that..

He can't afford to rent a room with that - probably living in a shared room or with family...

Is there no hyperinflation at the moment...

Long holiday required.

The labour union should go on 6 months strike with no room for negotiations

Palaver is, to cut that spending, we would have to go through...the same senators.

Tell me, would you , if you had a choice , vote to recieve half your salary from next month, or to continue recieving your full salary from next month if your employer made it votable....

The way the constitution is set up, the President cannot cut salaries and wages and allowances of senators and HOr members. It is they who decide it. Pity.

As much as I love Nigeria, FG and Tinubu....

I don't like the fact that the man is like a cancer. He's inside and you don't know and he can manipulate anything and everything.

He's a civilian dictator. He dictates the terms.

This NLC will not strike up to 4 times in his 4 years of rule.

I already predicted it before he won. Have you heard from ASUU? He's extremely good with unions and fragmenting them.

The good part of all this ... Nigeria is a cesspit that needs a Machiavellian tyrant. Tinubu is that person. Atiku is my 2nd choice. Obi is a fake Saint like Buhari... he wouldn't have the balls to do anything significant.

What's different between level 1 and level 6, in term of money involved in salaries?

Are we not in hyperinflation already, how would person earnings total income of 60 -80k survives in period of hyperinflation that Tinubu subjected people into?

Did it also occurr to you as well that, political and elected appointees should also feel the negative impact of economy problems too?

The way Tinubu is spending money, did it show to you that we are in the middle of economy crises?

Since the last minimum wage increment, prices of commodities have gone up 400%.

What I feel labour should be demanding, is a 400% increment in minimum wage.

N120,000 as minimum wage seems like a fair deal.

Wage thing is basically the ulitmate between the devil and deep blue sea

1.Labor accepts governments N60000...it is still too too low to make a decent living.

2.Labor forced government to accept N615000 minninum wage, everyone is happy...until government is forced to print more money to pay the new wage, AND..everyone and their mother starts increasing prices to cash in. Result...inflation.

EIther way, hell.

There is a middle ground, Labour lower and government upper and meet at 200k and everything is fine
