The pro-Biafran group, in a statement signed by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, on Tuesday, said the remembrance of all those who fought for Biafra freedom and sovereignty remains imperative, and no government or security agency has any authority to harass any innocent person during the event.

Powerful stated that all social activities in Biafra Land are banned.

“The global family IPOB wishes to remind every person resident in Biafra territory that 30th May 2024 sit-at-home in commemoration of Biafra Heroes Day is sacrosanct and we oblige everyone to abide by this order, its only one day, only Thursday, May 30, 2024 no other day. “As long as Biafra Land is concerned, IPOB remains a very important state actor on the issues concerning Biafra. The remembrance of all those who fought for Biafra’s freedom and sovereignty remains imperative, and no government or security agency has any authority to harass any innocent person during that event.

"We are urging all state governors in Biafra Land to ensure the safety of persons and properties on that day. The students for WAEC on that day must put on their school uniform to identify themselves as WAEC candidates. We are not involved in criminal activities going on and we cannot stop our children from taking their exams.

“The Federal Government must understand that they cannot slaughter our heroes and, at the same time, stop us from mourning or remembering them. Those who died in the defence of our land from the extermination agenda of the Nigerian and British governments during the genocidal war of 1967–1970 are worthy to be remembered and celebrated.:

The group stated that all Biafran heroes and heroines must be remembered, including Bruce Mayrock from the USA, who sacrificed his youthful age for Biafrans

“We remember and honour General Phillip Efiong, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Air raid Achuzie, Dr Frank Opigo, General Umunnakwe, Thomas Aguiyi Ironsi, Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu, and many others who contributed immensely for us to live.

“Biafrans in the diaspora are advised to go and obtain permits to rally in their respective countries. We must tell the world the story of the Biafran genocidal war and the resilience of Biafran heroes. Our people must understand that Biafra is coming. We have crossed the Rubicon, and nothing will make us change our mind or diminish our resolve towards this fight for Biafra liberation,” the statement added

They know what they are doing. You want them to murder innocent children. After threatening them, you now expect them to go out simply by wearing uniform Lol.

Patiently waiting for the agulu fraud or madam Obby to condemn IPOB. It's almost 2 weeks now that the original news broke out. All we have heard is cricket.

If this had happened in any other region, agulu man would have typed an 8 paragraph epistle about security breakdown on twitter.

Senators and HoR members from the South East should come together and sponsor a bill that will enable the region to set aside 30th May as a day we commemorate the killing of millions of Igbos during the Biafran war. There's nothing wrong with that.

Being a Nigerian doesn't mean losing one's own identity or pretending that you didn't suffer irreparable physical, emotional and psychological damage during the civil war. Many of us still carry that deep hurt today.

And that's the correct way to go about it instead of IPOB issuing threats and creating more harms to students sitting for WAEC.

Those spewing rubbish, even before june 12 became acknowledged, most of the south west states had been observing public holiday on that day, what stops the FG from adopting it as the armed forces remembrance day

Waec should conduct the exam and let them kill their children, that is what is written in their terrorist bible

Why can't the sit at home be voluntary?

Apart from the students writing their maths exams, how about the teachers, invigilator for the exams security, food sellers, should they also put on school uniform for disguising?

Why should those who are not elected in any position of power be dictating for the whole region.

Things don dey scatter apart oo

You still don't understand the Nigeria you are part of. Which Nigerian national assembly will vote to give you Biafran memorial day? As far as they are concerned, the Biafran war was a done and dusted process of making you a slave

The only thing I can get from this is that IPOB is planning to attack people on that day. They are warning students to put their uniforms so they won't get targeted by IPOB.

To the useless Emma Powerless, will the waec invigilators and teachers wear uniforms too?

Millions of Igbo kids will grow up to hate IPOB for putting their education into jeopardy.

If the children wears uniforms how will the WAEC examiners get to the venue?

.

Like somebody asked above: Are WAEC supervisors, invigilators, examiners, teachers, transporters who will commute the student to their exam venue and food vendors going to put on school uniform too?

The whole concept of IPOB terrorism lack logic and does not make sense to normal people.

You're disturbing the living because of the dead. Even the chimpanzees and gorillas are wiser to keep and protect their own.

If you believe the IPOB terrorist group really love the people of SE, then tell me one, just one of their single positive contribution the development of SE.

They kill Ibos,
They destroy their businesses,
The put Ibos on House Arrest every Monday,
They lock down Ibo businesses on Mondays,
They destroy Igbo people's properties,
They incite hatred and instigate other region against their the SE,
They destroy the once peaceful SE region, making it ineligible destination for investment,
They arm gullible youths and send them on journey of no return,
They are anti-people,
They are against the growth and development of the SE region
They prevent Ibo children from attending schools.

Most supporters of the IPOB terrorist group lack empathy, they will support none state actors to kill others of their tribesmen and destroy other's properties until something evil happen to them also through IPOB. Most parents, brother and sisters of student writing WAEC, used to support the IPOB terrorist until their daughters and son will not be writing WAEC this year 30th May.

You need to visit a psychiatry immediately if you still see this terrorist group as you Heroes or freedom fighters.

The Heroes that we know:
- create viable business environment,
- create free education
- believe in sanctity of life
- e.t.c.

If the same people that kill a medical doctor who is an Ibo man, if the same people that killed staff of the USA embassy in the pictures below are your heroes and freedom fighter, you need to start taking your mental health seriously.

First try to lay your hands on herdsmen slaughtering people in the SE in places like Uzo-Uwani, Enugu State, Ogbaru, Anambra, Awo-Mmama, Imo State

Everything in life is not about remembering that there is something called insecurity only when you you hear the word IPOB, just so that you can protect your long failed useless 'one Nigeria'
