That coin is dead. No even reason buying it at all.

You fit buy MAGA sha on base, I reckon that coin will get to $1b MC. As we get nearer to US election, it will pump even higher.

Already on 200m. I'll keep it on my watchlist and wait for pull back below 100. And if doesn't, bye bye.

It will pump. I hurriedly sold mine when it dip to 0.0052 that's it's better to have something on hand since it's free money and I have projects I want to do than let it continue dipping. When it dipped to 0.0043 I was happy that I took the right decision.

Started pumping this week and now I felt like crying. From $0.0043 to $0.0117 at the current rate. The coin will most likely get to $1 and above long term so if you have and you dont need the money urgently, I advise you leave it.

If you trade futures, you can long it.

I think Jarus mentioned it on Twitter also about a land he wanted to buy in Epe or so.

The truth is that if you get correct surveyor most of these things are not hidden and are available in the ministry of lands. It is still the duty of buyers to beware before buying a land.

Just look at sod09 now, he hears that the land is for agriculture purpose and not residential and he still believe there's room for adjustment. That's how most of these developers, omo onile and land buyers behave, it's not as if they dont know that the land is designated for something else but they either believe the govt might not remember the land or that when the govt comes, adjustment will be made. When demolition starts, we will all start blaming the govt.

This is where u people are always getting it wrong .

A responsible government actually owes its citizens duty of care . The ministry of urban planning like most ministries gets millions of Naira as budgetary allocations yearly ; those monies re not just meant to be shared by the perm secs , directors and other top staff of the ministry .

The ministry can can put up just a minute or two jingle on radio Lagos or LTV warning buyers to beware that lands in places like Epe while legal are actually reserved for farming so anybody buying should know they are expected to farm on those lands and not erect residential buildings . Those kind of public education goes a long way.

When u say people need to go to ministries to find out , there’s a chance that u will jam civil servant that will pass the wrong information to u.

Do u know that I have a friend who is a surveyor but works for all these real estate companies , he’s been telling me to come and buy land in the same Epe .( I just wave him off telling him that’s not my priority now ) . Imagine the same Epe another surveyor made a video about claiming the lands are meant for agric purpose only . Now if I rely on the advice of my friend who is a surveyor , buy the land and later have issues with govt people will say I didn’t consult a professional. Shebi a surveyor is a professional and expert in Land matters na . No be surveyors full ministry of lands and urban planning ?

See ehn, even though the people are expected to do due diligence , we should not act as if government is also not complicit by being tight-lipped about some of these vital issues .

This muddles it up even more. If FHC is the same, with the same power to adjudicate over the matter, why are we filing and hearing the same case in 2 different states with what would most likely be 2 different judgements over the same matter? The Supreme Court will ultimately decide this, it looks but it is such a mess to have it this way. At this point we have rendered our State courts useless.
Two courts with concurrent powers should not sit in the same matter and give conflicting orders. This is where the NJC comes in. It is judicial rascality for anyone to approach a court for an order when the matter is already before another court except it is a lower court. Such actions should be punished. We lost are judicial system when APC took power. Government began disobeying court orders without any form of consequence. Buhari most especially should be answering for this.

Bros not all land in Epe are reserved for farming activities now. It is govt duty to make sure that the information about designated and gazzete lands are made publicly available through the ministry if land, it is your own duty as a citizen to make sure you are not buying land that has already been gazzete for public use.

The govt has it's own responsibilities and the citizens has their own responsibilities also. The govt will not do the work of the citizens and vice versa.

There is a process to undertake when buying land to make sure you are buying a legit land which will involve land surveyor, a lawyer and the likes, these form part of what you will use to get a CofO of the land. You can't keep absolving the citizens of their own responsibilities and trying to pin it on the govt later. If you want to buy land anywhere you must go to the ministry of land, it's part of the process.

There's a reason why they say there's no ignorance in law.

Diaper and sanitary pad manufacturer, Kimberley Clark will soon announce an imminent shutdown of its Ikorodu production facility two years after investing $100 million in Nigeria.

Sources within the company informed Nairametrics that the plant has been producing below capacity from late 2023 into 2024 due to the harsh economic environment within the country.

In 2022, the company inaugurated a $100 million production facility in Ikorodu, Lagos state to restart operations after a similar closure of operations in 2019 following a strategic review of its business.

Kimberly-Clark began operations in Nigeria in 2012 but stopped due to unfavourable economic conditions after five years in 2019 to later restart in 2021.

The company produces Huggies diapers, sanitary pads, Kotex and other hygiene and personal care products. KC is a listed multinational on the New York Stock Exchange with the majority of its shares held by institutional investors like Blackrock Inc., Vanguard Group, Morgan Stanley etc.

The planned closure of operations of Kimberly-Clark from Nigeria and the reasons provided are similar to those of other manufacturers who have exited the country in the past few years.

High production cost, currency depreciation affecting the import of raw materials, and weak purchasing power of the populace.

Last year, another U.S based company in the personal care business Procter and Gamble (P&G) closed production in Nigeria in a similar fashion having invested about $300 million (the single largest non-oil investment by a U.S company in Nigeria) in a production facility in Ibadan.

Similarly, PZ Cussons stated last month that it is evaluating strategic options for its Africa business for which Nigeria is the biggest and thinking of ways to maximise shareholder value. The company has also restarted asset disposal in Nigeria after a halt due to forex liquidity issues.

The baby diaper industry in Nigeria is estimated at $920 million with a CAGR of about 11% between 2024 and 2028 according to Statista. Leaders in the industry include; Pampers produced by P&G, Molfix, and Kimberly-Clark’s Huggies. However, it is a hugely competitive industry with about 15 brands competing for market share.

The planned closure of production in Kimberly-Clark’s facility in Nigeria is a huge blow to the federal government’s drive to attract foreign direct investment into the country and mirrors the challenges faced by players in the real economy.

Furthermore, the closure of operations means that two of the three leaders in the diaper and personal care industry in Nigeria (P&G and Kimberly-Clark) have ended production in the last one year.

Like GSK, P&G transitioned to an import-based business model, if KC tows the same line, it could exacerbate the cost of diapers and sanitary materials for babies and households following significant depreciation of the Naira and further increase the country’s imports at a time when the drive for local production is high.

While Dr. Tinubu still dey theatre , another foreign investor exits the market just 3 years after they invested $100m in the country .

https://nairametrics.com/2024/05/30/breaking-huggies-maker-kimberly-clark-to-stop-production-three-years-after-investing-100m-in-nigeria/

If u read the news with discerning mind , u will notice that the company started production in 2012 , they stopped production in 2019 at the height of Buhari’s govt shege Banza and now they are leaving finally at the height of Dr. Tinubu’s renewed shege promax

Look at it this way: The last time Tokunbo Wahab was lamenting the cost they expend in pulling those structures down and at a point he was suggesting maybe it will get to a point when people will be compelled to pay for their any buildings to be pulled down . That is to tell u that they expend significant cost on the demolishing exercise.

How much does a 2-minute radio jingle in Yoruba and English cost on radio Lagos ? Don’t u think it is more economical to run those radio jingles to warn the general public against development of land in such locations than spending multiples of that on demolishing exercise ?

There is no comparison between Israel and Germany who go out of their way to kill ethnic minorities via mass genocide. There is not even any comparison between Israel and UK that bombed German civilians in Dresden without remorse, reducing Dresden to rubble.

Palestinians were supposed to be part of the Israeli state but they attacked Jews on the day Israel was established in 1948. With 700k population each, it was in the interests of Israel's safety to separate them as you cannot live amongst people that want to kill you and match your population on a 1-1 basis. 21% of Israeli citizens are Muslim Arabs even today

I believe in a Palestinian State, and I also believe Israel has been very careful and gone out their way not to deliberately target civilians. At any moment, Israel can flatten Gaza without worrying about civilians if they were intent on ethnic cleansing.

The bolded is all that matters.
We'll get into reparations and morbid comparisons when Palestine is free.

Do you know how many civilians were killed in the 20-year Afghanistan War?
47,000. Inclusive of all the civilian killings by both sides.
Israel has killed 35K in less than a year.

Do you think the civilian casualty in the Afghanistan War would be that comparatively low if it had occurred before the establishment of the UN?
Any American on this board who knows anyone who fought in the war will be able to corroborate the stern, strenuous rules of engagement servicemen had to abide by. And the very real and career-upending consequences when you flouted them.

The entire world huddled together and swore never to allow a Dresden or Tokyo happen again. And collectively set up institutions and mechanisms to prevent a repeat.
But now that a certain protected class has decided to roll back the clock, you expect everyone to act like the Three Wise Monkeys.

In my submission that got deleted, I shared a harrowing account of the Israeli systemic, premeditated murder of 6-year old Hind, her 6 other family members, and the 2 EMTs sent to rescue her. Look up the Killing of Hind Rajab.
You cannot read that without wanting to put a fist through a wall. And that's not the most egregious atrocity committed by the apartheid regime. Nor the most recent. Since then, we've learned about the Lavender AI, we've borne witness to the Al-Shifa massacre, the murder of the WCW Kitchen workers. And last week I had to watch a father cradle the beheaded body of his kid while a raging fire was burning others alive.
And then some psychopath tries to callously spin all that as "human shields".
It drives me up the wall.

If you want to wait until Israel racks up WW2 numbers before you object to the carnage, that's on you.
But you cannot expect the rest of us to go right along with it and be complicit in a 75-year occupation that has killed more children in four months than all ongoing conflicts combined in 4 years.
That's the yardstick that triggers the ferocious denouncement by people who still have their humanity intact.
But sure, let's compare to a period when blacks were still segregated in the US and the Japanese were raping their way through Nanjing.
Why stop there? We might as well compare to the Armenian Genocide and the Genghis Khan extermination campaigns.

Really?

I don't think so.

There are matters reserved for both courts. For example FHC has no business with civil matters like customs, divorce, land or tenancy issues. Those are for state. Federal is meant for constitutional matters. However they have the same level of powers as per their tier.
