The First two pictures are from local food restaurants and I spent maximum of 1k.
Rice and beans - N500
Spaghetti- N100
Boiled egg - N200
Beef - N200

NB: the meat is under the spag and stew.

The last Two pictures are from standard Eatry restaurants and I spent maximum of 2k

Rice - N600
Fish - N1200
Table water- N200

My opinion: the local rice was okay and I was satisfied and taste More better the eatery own. Also the eatery was okay but too expensive and not pocket friendly.

😂😂😂😂😂😂

I stopped eating out a long time ago. To chop better food belleful be ready to spend 3K upwards depends on how you eat and taste.

I just carry money enter market buy soup stuff, prepare stew, refrigerate and warm when I want to eat. Saves me money and I eat healthier cos I know what goes into my food.

In every eatery, you are paying for:
1. Food
2. Salary of staff
3. Table and chair
4. AC in the eatery.
5. Some level of hygiene

My wife prepares food for me so that nobody will bring extra spoon for me from their home to share their foodmuch . I don't even know how an egg costs because I eat dried and smoked fish, but I drop money monthly o. I pity those who must patronise these people who sell their enviroment that you cannot carry away for you.

Without the TV and AC, it becomes a local place.
They put it there to make theirs sophisticated.
Some people like AC and TV.
Eat where you can afford and don't complain.

Fast food is overrated. It's only good for meetings and "sweet mouth'', not as proper meals
And that's it.
People will continue to meet at fast food places to have meetings and discussions.
and eat their expensive food.
Abi will you go and discuss high level contract with somebody in mama put?

I actually bought rice, stew and beef for 600 on the Island recently...!

If I was a heavy eater, I would have had to cough up twice that amount.

Still, it was wholesome and satisfying.

Na una know wetin una dey find for all these fast food restaurants.

Fast food and top restaurants are where you go to chill and enjoy the ambience.

What you pay so highly for is not the food.

Mariangeles:

How about she take you out to a place she'd rather to eat instead! 🙄

A lady will eat in a local eatery because she wants to, and not because you want her to.

If I don't want it, I don't want it. Period!

Blame your state and federal government

The restaurant tried for you, the 'marble' table in their restaurant is not free
It depends on the customer's preference. If you prefer a marble floor to a satisfactory meal then the second option is for you.

The thing is you are also paying not just for the food but for the comfort and luxury that comes with it.

You never give account of the gas or kerosene you used in preparing the local food, it's part of it. Anyway, the local food is still economical.
