https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNNJEjs4Clc Ohanaeze Ndigbo President General, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, has recounted his visit to IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, at DSS Headquarters Abuja, on 30th of May. Iwuanyawu said he met with Kanu and talked at length. Iwuanyawu said that IPOB has denied involvement in violence, and that whatever insecurity in the East is criminality and not agitation. He said that Nnamdi Kanu is sad and angry that some people may be hiding under agitation to commit criminal acts He reiterated that Kanu is against the killing of Soldiers, enforcement of sit at home or denying children the opportunity to take exams. Iwuanyawu said that if IPOB or Nnamdi Kanu were responsible for insecurity in the East, they would not enjoy the widespread support they have today in that area. Iwuanyawu said that Nnamdi Kanu is a manifestation of the discrimination against Igbo people in Nigeria. He reminded the reporters that some Yorubas are asking for Oduduwa Republic, some Ijaws are asking for a seperate country, some Northerners are doing the same, so agitation to leave Nigeria is nothing new. He called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu through a political process He reiterated that the only way to solve the problem of Nigeria is to restructure the country and give powers back to the federating units so everyone can develop according to their talent. He said that the constitution has given whoever is President of Nigeria too much powers he or she shouldn't have. He ended by saying that if Nigeria refuses to restructure, nothing will change. 27 Likes 3 Shares

Always behaving like ndi egbuwara isi. One minute you are indirectly praising the terrorists, next minute you are posting Nnamdi's disapproval of forceful enforcement of sit at home. Stay one place so that egbe eluigwe can strike you very well. 27 Likes 4 Shares |

swagana: You guys are funny. Nigeria is descending deeper into poverty and insecurity by the day. Rather than talking about what will improve the situation, as Ohanaeze President is doing, you are more interested in playing blame game that will take you no where OK oo 14 Likes 2 Shares |

swagana: Get real, Nigeria is 8th most insecure country on earth for a reason, it is a failed country. Many more people, civilian and Soldiers, will be lost to insecurity in the future. That is Nigeria for you, a country where nobody cares about what will bring peace. Same as 16 Soldiers were lost in Okoloma some months back, many more will be lost in the future all over Nigeria, that's what happens in an insecure country Someday, Nigeria will start talking about what will bring peace and security, but that time is still very far away. In the meantime, you guys can carry on playing blame game and using insecurity to play politics as things get worse 7 Likes |

Ohaneze and South East Governors are always reactive they are never proactive They are responsible for the issue we have in the South East 100% their inactions Because they promised them president What would happen if ohaneze lead protest in the South East with all igbo governors calling for kanus release at least that would send a message that leadership of the igbo nation want kanu released I blame kanu for even agreeing to see them Little wonder they keep losing trust of the people to ipob 2 Likes 1 Share |

Many WAEC candidates in South East said they missed their Mathematics exams yesterday due to fear of UGM yet this man, Obi and Ezekwesilly refused to make one comment about the whole situation. I am very sure they will all find there voices the day Lagos State Government will announce that a particular Igbo dominated market in Lagos should not open their shop for few hours to carry out cleaning and environmental sanitation. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I commend Nwanyanwu for that. The matter should be an agenda for all Igbo, and make it central to all your political relations with other parts of the country till he is released. No justification for keeping Kanu there. Be bold about it. If you had kept on making it a very hot national issue, other things the government is sluggish about would also have been given a quick attention. |
