Tinubu is after governance of the country, Obi that has taken up the Twitter constituency should continue doing his job and do it well
Yeah, that's why we're facing double digit inflation, erosion of value of the currency, burgeoning hot-spots of insecurity, a wipe out of the middle class, multinationals falling over themselves in their haste to leave and a general sense of gloom and doom across the country for those who aren't in the ruling class.

Exactly. What a stellar job he's doing.

The proposed Region is replacing State govt and not replacing FG

When we ran the regional system, there was still FG but nothing like State govt. Basically you are collapsing 36 states into 6 under 1 FG

Regarding Fiscal autonomy, It can be sold that you keep 60% and send 40% to the center or whatever percentage works

We are already doing something similar to that with the 13% (is it still 13%) derivation and it hasn't resolved anything. As long as the North have the population which is the ultimate determinant of elections in Nigeria, then we may never have true fiscal Federalism because our biggest resource is not in the North. Our crude oil powers our economy and nothing can rival that at this time.

I am not advocating scrapping the FG but we need to seriously reduce the amount of power they have. Remember, when I started, I said, I do not necessarily think regional is the solution but it is better than whatever we have right now. Like Unlimited22 said, make everybody show their working and bear the consequences. There can be a way to collaboratively benefit from resources in each region but it has to be defined by the region that owns the resource.

All these are as a result of decades of mismanagement of the country and economy. Which is what Tinubu has been doing starting with removal of subsidies, giving LG autonomy

Nigeria did not spoil in 1yr and will not be repaired in 1yr

The moves made by Tinubu so far shows why more Nigerians trusted him to govern the country than other candidates

So far, he is doing a stellar job

That 13% or whatever percent, Needs to be getting to the grassroot to the LG where the lives of the people are mostly impacted. When it gets to the LG not to the State, LG then we hope they will do right by their people and if they don't the people who live close to them can hold them

The problem is not the North or anyone, Just like you said the states getting 13% and not doing much, Is it the North that stopped them? 13% gets to the governor, he converts it to Dollars and stash into his personal account.

If we reduce the power of the FG and hand it over to States will it be better or maybe its better to hand it to LG
I have seen people here complain and reject handing e.g policing to state governors

With regional its say 6 regions, the states things got closer to the people since 36 has more granular than 6. what will make it even better is if it gets to the level of 774 LGA.

If they now give you 60% for your LG and you steal it, then its left to your people to hold you accountable or defend you like they did to Ibori and Alams. Then na you sabi after that but at least you cannot blame one bogeyman North West or South

Easy for you to to say from a mansion in Texas.

You're not the one who has to see people develop corneal ulcers because they can no longer afford 1000 to buy fluconazole ointment.

You're not the one who's harassed to the point of exhaustion at every turn by people whose livelihoods can no longer keep them alive.

You're not the one whose power generating costs have swallowed up his business profits and even capital.

You're not the one who stays out till midnight rather than hear the cries of hunger pangs from his young children.

You're not the one contributing funds to save indigent patients from certain death and/or blindness because without treatment they can't afford, they are surely dying or going blind.

You're not the one whose transport costs have doubled and tripled while salary has stayed the same.

You're not the one watching hasty decisions taken and equally hastily reversed to no avail.

You're not the one who sees a government declare that subsidy is gone only to continue paying it quietly months later while transport costs are crushing him like The sky does Atlas.

You're not the one earning in a currency where inflation makes you a third poorer by the year.

You're not the one who'll make business plans and forecasts only to have your dreams crushed by one bloated lawmaker who's never done an honest day's work in his life.

Again, easy for you to postulate from an air-conditioned room in Texas.

While all these are true you still will agree that these did not start today and its decades of decay
So why will you expect damage of 40yrs to be fixed in 1yr?
8million Nigerians trusted Tinubu to turn around the economy and he is doing a great job so far

The primary tenet of medical care is 'Do No harm'

If you cannot help someone, then don't add to the person's load.
You can't come and deliver double digit food inflation in one year and expect to be applauded.

The funniest thing is that most of the soldiers killed are Igbo.

How can you say you're remembering your fallen heroes and to celebrate you start killing your brothers? What kind of insanity is that?

I am glad you mentioned medical care cos it depicts Nigeria's situation accurately

We have a chronic disease that has festered for so long and needs to be surgically removed, The removal process is never easy, It comes with severe pains but you still need to do it otherwise the patient dies

I'm glad you know that when you're managing long term diseases that have festered, you do them with enough care so you don't worsen the problem.

You don't do surgery without anaesthetics and antibacterials or the pain and resultant infections will kill the patient long before you even attempt to start solving anything

Most of those terrorists like ESN and Boko Haram have killed more of their own tribesmen than outsiders and rendered the economy of their own village comatose

Real insanity. The students and market women they have flogged or killed are their own brothers

Saving the life is the most important thing if its life threatening like the situation Nigeria found itself where we have kicked the can down the road and now run out of road to kick it .

You have seen warfronts where surgeries were done without the best care barely any anaesthesia and they couldnt wait to transport to where best conditions exist

You can fly the patient to a hospital and they arrive dead or just deal with the pain and inconvenience while doing that amputation immediately

The burden of proof is on the accuser, my GEE.

Please tell us the places where they didn't write exams.

Because I can tell you for starters that my cousin who is sitting at Abayi Girls Secondary School, Aba-Owerri road, Aba, wrote her maths exams without a hitch. I know this because we left together as I was going to work and I came home to see her question paper filled with pencil calculations.

As you defend your messiah, small truth won't kill you in the process.
