Hi nairlanders cool just thought to share.

Most of us know one of the reasons why villagers live longer than city dwellers is because most of them eat fresh.

First picture is ewedu that was planted in the little farm in our compound. See how fresh and shiny it looks and the leaves blossom with joy.

Second picture is ewedu I bought from the market today in Lagos. Looks like it was cultivated with doses of chemicals and in poor conditions.

Ewedu helps strengthen the immune system, fights off stress and heart disease. Ewedu is a folk remedy for aches and pains, dysentery, enteritis, fever, dysentery, pectoral pains, and tumors.

I'm not really sure about now, but back in the days almost all villagers were farmers. They rare their flocks and grew their plants themselves which makes them eat fresh that gives good supplements to the system which helps them live longer. We city dwellers keep eating mostly rubbish. God help us.

I wish I can cultivate every plant I eat.

I expected to see your little ewedu farm.

The reason why the second one looks like that is because it has been moved around. Farm-market-consumer.

No fertilisers my dear. Just rainwater and sunlight. We didn't even take it serious cos we didn't expect it to grow.

This is a picture of the little ares for planting.

But then, is it just being moved around that makes it look that dull.

Awwwn thanks. I eat ewedu but not really into it. And I started taking it more now because of the health benefits. I recently had a visit to Lasuth and the doctors were clamouring about ewedu

That's real good. Well done. Now that you have seen what's obtainable, take it more seriously and reap more benefits. Let those that are waiting until they have 3 full plots of land to farm keep waiting.
