Oluwaloniglory7: Is the wife and kid the same black America fiancé you’re hoping to get a marriage based Green card from? I hope you know that the US and Canada share immigration information? If you’ve previously told Canadian immigration that you’re married, you can’t change that now. If you do get a divorce this year and apply for a k1 visa this year, be sure to know that it will be refused and if you are caught lying like I suspect you will, you may be banned for life. 1 Like |

Zihno: If his wife and kids are American, they don't need a Visa to visit Canada. Based on his previous posts here, it seems he is planning to commit BIGAMY. Oga is not only playing with a LIFETIME ban but also a JAIL time. He doesn't know CANADA and USA does Info Sharing. |

Dontrixt43: This happened to me and I called the agent I applied through and they told me to include my old passport and a letter indicating I got a new passport, though in my case I did a name change on my passport and my old passport was collected at immigration so I just wrote the letter and included the old passport’s ID Hope this helps |

abousanogo83: When applying for a Canadian tourist visa, demonstrating your ability to afford the trip is crucial. Here's a helpful tip: Instead of making actual reservations, visit an airline's website or Wakanow, select your intended travel dates, and take a screenshot of the booking page showing the cost. Do the same for a hotel on Booking.com and capture a screenshot displaying the price. Along with these screenshots, write a letter detailing the estimated costs for your flight, hotel, and daily expenses, and explain how you plan to cover these costs. This method is usually sufficient. Visa officers primarily want to see that you can afford the trip. Prepaying for a hotel or flight doesn't necessarily prove this. Instead, they consider various factors such as your employment, property ownership, travel history, and bank statements. These elements collectively demonstrate your financial stability and ability to fund your trip. Attached is a sample showing the cost of a trip at about 3 million Naira for the flight. When you add the hotel about 1m , you should be looking at no less than 10 million Naira in the account to show you can afford the trip without going bankrupt to finance a tourist trip 1 Like

I have gotten another bank statement from June as at the start date of the previous one till 31st may 2024. The pages are 96 pages and wen scanned is like 52mb. The agent said its too large to compress it to 2mb. I got reference letter too. Even from Jan till date is like 52 pages. How else do i handle d situation because i will still add my updated payslip and other pof docs alongside House34: |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by affoncad: 4:57pm On May 31 |
wencius4u: What you need to do now is defend the authenticity of the bank statement you submitted. You're claiming that the bank statement you provided is genuine and not fabricated. Your best bet is to use "mybankstatement" and indicate to the visa officer that perhaps the previous statement lost its quality due to printing and rescanning, but "mybankstatement" shows the exact same period. The officer should compare, and you're 100% sure it's real, eliminating the need for a payslip. "Mybankstatement," the reference letter, and a letter of explanation from you will solve this problem. I've seen a case like this with a student, where it was due to bad scanning, but he opted for "mybankstatement" and a reference letter from the bank confirming the genuineness of the bank statement, along with a letter from the student explaining he now chose "mybankstatement" which show exactly same period and not altered and the visa was approved. you applied last year so even if you want to use printed version again ,you just need the bank to print same period when you submitted and back with reference letter and your letter of explanation ......all this suggestion is based on assumption the agent did not manipluate the intial printed version of the bank statement and was truthful since the agent did not use mybankstatemnt you provided. 1 Like |

Hello everyone, Can someone point me to where to start reading from if I want to start an application. I checked page 1 but it's dated back to 2015 and I know a lot would have changed. Thank you so much. |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ashirioluwa: 12:49am On Jun 01 |
wencius4u: Since the IRCC claims that you should prove that the bank statements you submitted were real, this is what you need to do. Go to your bank and request your most recent bank statements. This can be from January 2024 to date. Also, request a “bank reference letter" from your bank. Ask your bank to write a bank reference letter on your behalf stating that your bank account is real and active. They should state when you opened the account on the letter, the average daily balance, and the closing balance. Actually, one or two-month bank statements and a bank reference letter can do the trick. In conclusion, I will say this: that your so-called agent doesn't really know his job if he doesn't realize that all you actually need in this case is a "bank reference letter" from your bank and possibly a one- or two-month bank statement. |

Good morning guys If I go to Canada on a visiting visa and during the period of visit, the school I applied to opens for the term, can I start schooling there without returning for a school visa Is there a problem with this? |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by mamawa123: 10:21am On Jun 01 |
freshStarz: Yes, you can if you are admitted to the school and the semester in question, have paid your tuition, and possess a valid study permit that allows you to study in Canada. |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by chatmate: 10:54am On Jun 01 |
brother, you posted this same question in USA student visa thread as well. If you want to change your status from visitor to study permit, you can apply to change the status in Canada and for the USA, it's possible but someone said its not advisable. You can NOT start schooling there until after you changed visitors visa to study permit. freshStarz: |
