Honestey:
"The labour leadership specifically noted that no governor was present at the meeting, just as ministers were absent except the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, who doubles as a conciliator."

Oookey! No transportation tip from Tinubu. Na now I understand why they want to go on strike.

Must you always think this way?
The man is saying "their absence indicates the Governors might not implement any decision taken/agreement reached."
Are you aware that some governors are yet to pay the #30,000? To me, labour is right, the government is unserious. Government proposal is not just disdain, inhumane.
If they can revert to the old national anthem in a giffi, remove subsidy and increase electricity tarrif, but reluctant to pay Nigerian workers living wage, then it is PURE WICKEDNESS.

What an idiotic post. Nigeria is headed the Zimbabwe way already and this time it is self-inflicted.
The government could do a supplemtary budget in trillions to ensure they bought new cars for the politicians upgraded and constructed new houses fornthe vice president and others (even if these were not necessary), bought a presidential yacht, new vehicles for the president and vice president wives and their aides, all allowances for for senator's and reps paid in advance to curry their favour, etc,

...but the same government claim there would be inflation if minimum wage is increased?

Inflation that is 130% already due to stupid and thoughtless economic policies of naira devaluation and subsidy payment.

A lot of you don't think in that country at all

Jagabanarmy:

There is no way government can pay labour 615,000 naira as minimum wage. You guys want to turn Nigeria to Zimbabwe? Don't bastardized our naira. Secondly, ipob should get ready for the impending disasters coming their ways. Ipob terrorists must be eliminated

LABOUR isn't insensitive to the economic plight of the country that we were plunged into by this callous political class.
LABOUR in that light, had come down to 497k which the government had only offered 60k (less than a bag of rice) for an average of 6.
Go figure!!.

The Nigerian people disagree with this move by the labour party labour union. Anambra and Abia state are not paying 30k minimum wage, but labour party Labour think they can pay 450k 😃
Anambra and Abia state will pay whatever minimum wage is agreed upon...you can't single them out because LP is different from NLC

I guess Agbado people are secretly praying now for Labour to go on strike. They were at the forefront of those who attacked Labour in other attempts to go on strike, called them Obidients. But hunger don do dem strong thing now and they have realized the truth the opposition told them earlier, that Bola Ahmed Tinubu's regime is bent on so impoverishing Nigerians that people cannot even afford one complete square of meal.
