Why The North Must Choose Between Obi And Tinubu by proeast(m): 12:57am On Jun 02, 2024 |
Finally, the chickens have returned home to roost. The north has suddenly found itself in a catch 24 situation. They’ve realized that Muslim Muslim ticket was actually a Mumu poisoned chalice. Tinubu has really dealt with them in unimaginable ways that they’re now full of regrets. But it’s too late! They rejected Obi that promised and also showed full working on how he will revitalize agriculture which used to be the backbone of their economy. However, in 2027, they’ve no choice than to choose between Obi and Tinubu. No other Northern politician can defeat Tinubu in 2027, especially with Obi on the ballot. Not Atiku, not Kwankwaso, not anyone! Their only option is either to support Obi fully and defeat Tinubu with the ensuing tsunami or have Tinubu rule them for 8 years and I can bet you, the very idea alone makes them to sh1t in their pants. Tinubu has really dealt with them in ways they never imagined and is even threatening them with both Oduduwa and regional autonomy, even in his first tenure, then imagine what will happen to them should Tinubu get re-elected. Even Biafran separatists are now backing Tinubu and that’s to show you how Tinubu has really crushed the North. These are indeed interesting times. The Northern Muslims will have to choose between their MUMU ticket or go for a Christian they hate for no reason other than religion. Karma is indeed a bitch😂 9 Likes 5 Shares |

They would rather vote Atiku, followed by Tinubu, then followed by Kwakwanso in that order over the agulu fraud. Atiku just needs to break solidly into the SW. That's all. SS would be additional bonus for Atiku, but not really required. Most importantly, they know voting another southerner aside Tinubu is technically giving the South 12 years of presidency. They would rather wait for their turn in 2031. Northerners don't play nzogbu nzogbu politics. 33 Likes 12 Shares |

Tinubu has really shown the North the consequences of their actions and now they are stuck with a difficult choice between a MuslimMuslim ticket or a Christian candidate that they have historically opposed. Karma has surely caught up with them. 18 Likes 1 Share |

There is nothing special about north than plenty almajiris on voting day. They have done enough damage to Nigeria already 8 Likes 4 Shares |

raskymonojendor: Lol, see this Tinubu supporter with his odudowa half baked sense. Of course, Obi is Tinubu’s worst nightmare and that’s why he sends his troll farm to keep attacking him day and night yet his popularity keeps soaring😂 Tinubu and his supporters know that only Obi has a good chance of sending him packing from Aso rock. The North too will be foolish not to know this already. Even Atiku has realized their situation and that’s why he is saying he is ready to step down for Obi. Only a United front will crush Tinubu and his rigging machinery, and the North knows this. The song on their lips now is “Tinubu must never return”. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Okwyjesus: As it stands now, I’m indifferent. I don’t care who wins between Obi and Tinubu. The fact that the ticket narrows to the two of them gives me great joy. I support Obi because I’m fully convinced that he can transform Nigeria economically. However, I now support Tinubu as well because of his boldness in challenging the status quo. Whoever wins between them is okay by me. 4 Likes |

Even IPOB supporters are now low-key supporting Tinubu while they see Obi as another Azikiwe who is ready to pander to the whims of North. I see Tinubu granting Nnamdi Kanu bail towards the election to frustrate Obi in the East. Either way, the North has found itself in a very difficult position. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Northern plan come 2027 is Jonathan..he will rule only 1 term. With Jonathan Obi will not contest, Jonathan will get zero vote in SW but will win massively in SS,SE,NE,NW and they will share NC. I see Jonathan flying PDP ticket in 2027. Mind you returning power to north in 2027 is tantamount to break up of Nigeria 1 Like |

Only a fool that believe Buhari was dead and cloned will think that the North will be happy to be out of power for more than 8 years. If they did not even want to give power after Buhari's 8 years how do you think they will support anyone that will take power away from them for more than 8 years. There are two things Northerners don't joke with: Religion and Politics. I can bet it that they will prefer to vote for Atiku if they are suffering than allow Obi to win. If you think otherwise, may God spare our lives more than 2027. The only option for Obi is to go back to his vomit by siding with Atiku and pick the VC slot. Other than that, you guys are just dreaming 12 Likes 6 Shares |

Rutherford2019: Lol, that’s dead on arrival. You think Igbos are really happy with Jonathan? No! Personally, I would even vote Tinubu with all his problems than vote a weak Jonathan who caused all these challenges today. Jonathan won’t command the followership of the Obidient movement & Tinubu will defeat him before 12 noon on Election Day. You think Obidients will accept any arrangement that will bring up Jonathan instead of Obi? A weak and indecisive Jonathan against a bold Tinubu implementing political reforms against the Northern hegemony will see Obidients going for Tinubu. 2027 is between Obi and Tinubu, anything else means Tinubu will have an express ticket for 8 years. 2 Likes |

The problem is not the north. The problem is their leaders. Religion has made it possible to rig the north peacefully without any uprising. They're heavily subjected to the will of the few. So, it's very very very easy to rig the north and nobody would complain. Tinubu rigged his way to power as an ordinary civilian. What makes you think he'd lose now with all the powers when he has the judiciary in his pocket? 3 Likes |

Btw, North can never vote Peter Obi in 2027 . They would either support the reelection of president Tinubu or present their own candidate to support. The former is likely going to be the scenario as they would prefer to wait for 4 years than disrupt the unofficial rotating plans of presidency 8 Likes 1 Share |

The North won't be unwise to know that the reelection of Tinubu will destroy the North. Their best bet is to support Obi because regional government in the face of the overwhelming insecurity in the North will turn Northern Nigeria to Yemen helinues: 2 Likes |

When I look at the nigerian problem... Poverty in the North is the easiest to fix very very easy With a sincere leader won't take 5 years to fix the North give them a GDP per capita of 5000 dollars minimum They have the structure already they have land they have cheap labour they have raw knowledge that can be coached Pick any northern state I can tell u how to get their GDP to over 15 billion dollars in 10 years Obi opened my eyes When I look at Kogi, niger, Benue, Jos, taraba, brono struggling I laugh... There is nothing worse than leadership Saudi, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and the rest can't grow food n u are here lmao They turn to Indea for skill labour n u have 100 million jobless Muslims Lol 6 Likes 1 Share |

There what is called existential threat! If Tinubu achieves regionalism in his second term, Northerners coming to power in 2031 will not save them because there will be no money at the center to share. They might head the central government but it will be too weak to do anything for the North helinues: 1 Like |

Relax, everything is not fight. I'm telling you why the Northerners will choose Obi over their possible 8yrs starting from 2031. As regarding restructuring, I do not want regionalism but state autonomy. I want my state Delta to control her resources and pay 20% to the fg. We will control everything except immigration, currency, foreign affairs, military, customs. We will have our own state police, power grid, educational system, minimum wage, constitution and state supreme court(there would be federal Supreme Court) This will be replicated in every state. helinues: 1 Like |

Many of you obidient Igbo are devastatingly unintelligent I swear. How can you think Northerners will vote Obi over Tinubu ? On what bases n reasoning did you arrive at that conclusion. Who are the North political leaders that will push that narrative knowing that Obi an Igbo man will be going for 8 years while Tinubu will be finishing in 4 years for the North right to become the president. Does your brain not work enough to see this ? proeast: 10 Likes 1 Share |
