This is where you'll know that ENDSARS protest was just because some people with ill gotten wealth mostly youths couldn't move freely. They were the ones that SARS were really after. The protest wasn't for the right course. When an artist died like 8 months ago, youths trooped to the streets all in black demanding JUSTICE but when a particular artist in this same Nigeria was losing his buddies almost back to back, no single youth came out to demand for what was happening. The ENERGY being used up for all those above, 10% of it has never been used to protest against the hardship going on in the country. Where are the celebrities that still do ENDSARS anniversary to really lead enmasse for this. We see teenagers, youths in early 20s driving multi million naira cars and get more praises that questions yet we automatically want the government to take us serious. Until we are serious, look serious, act serious then government would know we are and take us for that. We are just silent as long as some of us can afford the living and some of us depend on those that can afford it. Then we say prayers like, No matter how hard it is, God should provide for me. If you feel I am quiet about it, well, I've never been a big social media fan so u won't know. In summary, the problem isn't Labour, it isn't minimum wage, it's not majorly Government. It's majorly the FOLLOWERS 5 Likes 1 Share |

NLC is labour party and Labour party is a branch of Ohaneze Ndigbo. The hardship is only experienced by Obidients and Igbos and not affecting APC and Tinubu's people, say Agbado people's wing of APC |

I don't understand why some folks are speaking against Labour Union. FG are increasing salaries and allowances of those wicked politicians and the Judiciary but they won't increase minimum wage. What can 60k do? 1 Like |

Caicedo:I dont know if you are an elderly man, but the point is nigeria elders are the root of Nigeria problems...They represent us at the top, and they were also against the 2020 protest at toll gate, tagging all the youth protesting as fraudster, if they had supported the youth protesting against police brutality, no one will be afraid to come out to protest against hardship and bad governance...Our elders of today are mostly coward.. |

rapheal5: Nigerian elders have done their best since their early ages, you too should try yours. How long do you want to keep sucking your mother's Breasts? Wole Soyinka has been fighting against bad government since the 60s, he even went with a toy gun to hold a radio station hostage and broadcasted live anti-government speech. Yet cursed children whose parents were hiding under their grandma's bed when Wole Soyinka was holding radio station hostage, they still want Woke Soyinka to be fighting for them now at his old age of 87 when their own father's have died ontop of underaged girls in hotels. Gani Fawehinmi died fighting for the rights of you youths, likewise Ken Saro Wiwa. Femi Falana hasn't stop fighting for you youths with all his hair turned white . When will you fight for your rights? Take your destiny into your hands, fight for your rights, stop waiting for old men to fight for you |

The Govt has abused her goodwill. How can they triple the cost of petroleum items and they are doubling the minimum wage of workers. It is as simple as abc. The Govt action has reduced peoples purchasing power. Workers must not go below 90k in their negotiation.. |

This Labour people self. President Tinubu made his initial mistakes in decision taking without advisers and ministers. Allow him learn from the mistakes and put things better. We know that the present monthly salaries of workers are peanuts compared to inflation rate. But worsening the situation with strikes is not it. I am an Obidient. Mahmood Yakubu and Bola Tinubu robbed us Obidients our victory last presidential election. |
Re: 24 Hours To Strike: Labour Talks Tough, FG Begs by drkay(m): 8:37am On Jun 02 |
The labour leaders need to be realistic. They’re negotiating based on the minimum wage that very minimum percentage of the workforce are getting. An increment of 30k will significantly impact on their earnings, many will get nothing less than 400-500k more than their current salaries. Maybe the FG should propose a consolidated salary increase then….minimum wage of 200k, the ogas that are already on 500k and above can get a moderate raise of like 500k, making 1m take home. The fg also needs to give the reasons for making this 60k offer. They need to give the breakdown, like; what’ll be the take home for those on minimum wage, what percentage of Fg workforce are on minimum wages. What will this increment mean for those on top of the ladder. What’ll a teachers between level 8-14 be getting? How much will this impact governments spending? Can the state government afford it? Will the employers in the private sectors be able to pay? Will there be any support from the government? Are we now going to kukuma ignore them and face the FG hoping that others will follow suit? Anyway, Naija is in a big mess. We need a dedicated government to rescue that country. I don’t think that is achievable with any politician. |
