Police unveil upgraded cybercrime reporting platform
31st May 2024

By Tosin Oyediran

The Nigeria Police Force has unveiled a platform for reporting cybercrime.

NPF says the platform is in its bid to reinforce its commitment to tackling digital threats.

The new portal, managed by the NPF National Cybercrime Centre is now accessible with a new site replacing the old site.

The Force spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

The statement read, “The Nigeria Police Force is pleased to inform the general public of the launch of a new, more robust, and secure domain for reporting cybercrime-related offences as part of the continued commitment to combating cybercrime and enhancing the safety and security of our digital space.

“The new reporting platform, managed by the NPF National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), can be accessed at: [https://nccc.npf.gov.ng/ereport/signin]. This upgraded domain replaces the previous site [https://incb.npf.gov.ng] which must be discarded.”

The statement stated that the upgraded domain offers enhanced security to protect user information and is user-friendly for efficient reporting.

Additionally, it featured improved tracking and response mechanisms for timely action on reported cases, and it urged the public to utilize this platform to aid in the fight against cybercrime in Nigeria.

“The upgraded domain includes enhanced security measures to protect user information and ensure confidentiality and is user-friendly for easy and efficient reporting of cybercrime incidents.

“It also includes improved tracking and response mechanisms to ensure timely and effective action on reported cases.

“The Inspector General of Police urges all members of the public to utilize this new platform for reporting any cybercrime activities as vigilance and prompt reporting can significantly contribute to police efforts in tackling the menace of cybercrime in Nigeria, and even beyond,” it added.

PUNCH Online reports that implementing the Cybercrime Act 2015 has been met with different reactions from various quarters.

The Act will provide a unified legal, regulatory, and institutional framework for the prohibition, prevention, detection, investigation, and prosecution of cybercrimes in Nigeria.

Very good of the Police Force, half bread is better than none, if not for the police, most criminal fraternity on this site would have gone far with their crimes. I am a living witness and victim of cyber bullying and brazen and notorious stalking by a group led by one macof who has in his possession my contact details and where I stayed through the people he organised to track me for whats not.

Till date, he's still planting phantom 'customers' into my contact just to keep in constant contact. In fact I abandoned the line of business for years and as soon as his agents got wind of my return to my business, they swing to action. Anyways, the details of the modus operandi of these clique is with the Lagos Police command. They are a very creative criminal group, I can only thank God for guidance.

You troll people, you call them zombies and you lied that they are being paid because they refused to support your warped, illogical, ill-concieved and ignorance peddling takes.

You even steal people's intellectual property to troll them. Only one insult I dished to you, you could not accept it and went to report to the moderators to get people banned for dishing out to you what you dished out to others.

Is that not hypocrisy on your part?

It is clear that you are a little coward who hides under the report button to force people out who expose you for what you are.

If you feel you can take the heat, why did you report?

Let my ban be lifted first.

Who is this one and why are you spitting all over my mention?
I couldn't even make head or tail of what you wrote. What intellectual property does your dero have for anyone to steal?
It's obvious you're here to troll and get banned and when you do, you start invading people's mention to pile your misery.
I have no time for trolls.
You'll be ignored henceforth.

You are fighting to safe face, and the bile in you is the hard evidence of a heart greatly enmeshed in evil against unsuspecting strangers.

I'm fighting to safe my life from you and a long haul of evil machinations that's still going on that God kept saving me from.

You can pocket that grandiose aura that often makes you feel larger than life and place you in the pedestal to talk down on others.

You are not above the law and your outburst is no proof of innocence, big man my foot!

Your crime left an indelible track that trace back to you, and you will be answerable to your crimes before the law.

As for me, I've escaped from being your hard target, although you are yet to know how. Wear your evil badge with pride.

Your strength is not found in any outstanding contributions on this site safe bullying and I'm one at a receiving end of such for 10+ years.

I like to see what you have to look back as "valuable contribution" outside trying to truncate my inputs on this website for such a long time.

Useless mad man

There is a reason you had my contact and could get me where I am, thanks to the information about me that I gave to your agent who lured me to an Hotel in the plot hatched for your evil agenda. What would have happened had I jump on the phantom "opportunity" you prepared for me? You can see you have continuous explanations to make.

I'm about the happiest man alive, because I passed through your numerous life hack and ongoing evil plots and came out alive. I am here celebrating my escape. I believe not many have the same opportunity in the hand of you and your evil group who put forth "attractive facade" on social media to hoodwink many gullible folks but inwardly, they are fanciful fronts for various nefarious urban and cyber crimes.

I want to always assure you, your crimes will catch up with you however long it takes. No one expect you to own up to your crime, even the law presume your innocence until proven guilty by a competent court of law, even if you commit murder. So, keep feeling great and invisible, but everyone knows your potential, they will be careful with strange opportunity they never asked for from people they don't know.

The heart of man is desperately evil, these statement is one of the reason you can't remain christian where you started from because you can't change your heart from the thrills and filthy lucre of evil. I offended you with my research on Yoruba, hence you want me deleted. How many thread have you spawn on the topic so far? Out of ideas already? You are no expert, I am the issue: why are you now weeping?
Re: Police Unveil Upgraded Cybercrime Reporting Platform by absoluteSuccess: 5:20pm On Jun 08
Me: have you read Robin Law on Oyo Empire?

Macof: what concern Oduduwa of Ile-Ife with robin law of Oyo, do you read, you don't read.

Me: Robin Law is the author of The Oyo Empire, he was the Deputy Chairman of The Yoruba Historical Research Scheme established to research the Yoruba history by the defunct Western Region of Nigeria, led by Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Saburi Biobaku was the Chairman.

Macof: I have made you to read your first book written by a true historian.

Fact check: On the thread about Yoruba Ajami scripts created as far back as 2014, I have made mention of Robin Law on Oyo Empire, I made reference again to the author in a thread I created in 2018 in a post around 2020, but this 'king-con' claim he has made me read my first historical book. But on a careful look, how could an expert historian of the Yoruba have missed a book from such an authority?

Why turn me to a victim of the knowledge he is actually ignorant of? This is a character at play, a very twisted person.

Second issue

My mom grew at a place called Ado. Very close to our family house (Iga) is a place called "Ilaje". Here, Oduduwa worshippers do throng from time immemorial. Mom was not literate, unaware of whatever historians might have written about Oduduwa, but she would say "Oduduwa Ateworo" instead of "Oduduwa Atenwonro" which is what was interpreted into "Oduduwa came down [ro] through ewon - chain".

Now, the bone of contention after I made my point about Ateworo being the right keyword was "ro". Either interpretation, ro simply sound as the suffix, fall, in rain is falling in Yoruba, or better still, soft, as in soft eba. This guy came up with an opposing argument that I wanted him to choose soft for the ro in either ateworo or atenwonro when the right answer is ro as you have it in wither. Oh my God, how could that be an argument?

Macof: this fool want me to believe 'ro' as 'soft' as if to say "rain is softening".

Without mincing words, this 'miracle working guy' exposed himself as non-Yoruba, because it will take a miracle to proof that ro in "rain is falling" is the same tone for "withering" in Yoruba. By implication, his interpretation of ro in atewonro, 'ro' rhymes with withering. So, instead of 'redododo', 'Ateworo' would be redodore. How could a Yoruba speaker make such an argument?

So, compare with his spoken English. Yet here is a guy whose signature says "I am Yoruba." That's the domino story to hypnotize his readers.
Re: Police Unveil Upgraded Cybercrime Reporting Platform by absoluteSuccess: 7:46am On Jun 10
On a final note here about this amokunseka guy called macof and his henchmen, a character unfolds to the public. Above are the charades that calls for a thorough check on the identity some folks put up on an anonymous forum that does not stand the scrutiny of their highly projected personality. A Yoruba that failed on the right sound of a simplest Yoruba word; a historian oblivious of critical sources.

Methink this guy speaks against Christianity on the religion section due to some "flaws" or "inequalities" that the religion foster somewhere according to him, meaning he is a "better person" than whoever claims to be christian. However, here is a man who is not his self-identified identity, where if Yoruba is to be a religion, he is not a practitioner but a liar claiming to be one. What has such a fellow become?

Let's say I am sick and he is so concern, the question is, how do I got his attention, of all the sane persons in the world? Now I have connected the evil soul to his accomplice, Timothy Ogundele on Facebook and on Linkedin, but he's not concern about that "presumed innocent soul" I'm mistaken for him, so as to call the fellow's attention to my "sick posts and updates" on nairaland till date.

Mind you, I'm so sick that I called out these guys and send to their personal phone numbers they used to contact me in the first instance, so they are on this site and reading everything I'm posting about them, I'm not just saying things but scared to notify my suspects. Now a man who wants to get off a mad man will quickly involve the police in such case of mistaken identity to rid himself of a problem.

Instead, they were trying to plant their syndicates in my business by acting like fulfilled returning customers trying to buy more, or sometimes as friendly strangers who has this golden mind and quite opportune as much as to transform my life if I could just tell them my needs. That's not to forget their paddy who hang out where I hang out and keep up appearances as their original undercover plot failed.
