Are the Nigerian police not going to benefit from this wage increment?

This looks like a threat. So technically, we are now in a military regime.

Nigerian Police is fast lacking the professionalism, integrity and values expected of a leading agency in the enforcement of security and protection of lives and properties.

You see ! We cant be better lailai with public office holders and leaders with little or no knowledge of crisis mgt & diplomacy !

See what police is dabbling into! One senior police in the UK was fired for making loose statement during a protest arrest !

Here, they just jump on every national issues because they are what? Police ! Police! That is the lowest form of public servants

I don't know , but let me ask a question, If NLC succeed in this increase of minimum wage, hope it will also be beneficial to Nigeria Police Force, if yes, why are they disturbing NLC that is fighting for everyone right.

The IG of police Kayode Egbetokun have successfully turned the entire Nigeria police force into a huge joke.

Who declared the strike illegal?

The court didn't declare it illegal, but Fagbemi, the charge and bail lawyer who Tinubu appointed as AGF, declared the strike illegal.

Ha! Oga, AGF?

How can NLC that is attached to a political party LP that had a fierce candidate (Obi) be organizing strike.
This is a political war.

BAN NLC
u are talking like nlc just started organizing protest when tinubu became the president. It shows ur political biasness and someone who doesnt mean well for the people. Under Jonathan regime, labour organized strike and most apc members where in fore front of it. Even before Jonathan time, labour has been protesting, so it isn't news.

Minimum wage is negotiable but the federal government is making it a joke

Had it been that the organised labour presented 100k from the start, the federal government wouldn't have still accepted it, so 490k is not the bone of contention here

I don't still understand how a strike will make the FG pay 450k

The private sector and the states can't pay 100k

Oga have you not been following up with the negotiations btw FG and organized labour?
Organized labour is holding out a 450k demand as a base for negotiation which could be reduced if there is a further increment from FG!
The goal is not to be negotiating from a position of weakness!
The suspicion by many is that labour will be willing to listen to FG if an offer of 100-150k is in place!

This is an incredibly useless statement by the police force . Who are they to tell Labour to go to the negotiation table ? This is above and beyond them . Appeal for calm ,organized protests and upholding the law . That is all . Some of these people in police sometimes overdo .

I don't expect him to say something meaningful. So, the hardship of the masses doesn't mean anything to you.

Maybe it's when the whole die you will understand.

I will urge you if you have the balls as the Police Chief to channel your energy to the President than come here to advise the labour.

I don't blame you, you are guarded and highly protected at your Maitama residence feeding fats on tax payers money.

Sir, with all due respect, if you don't anything to say, please on your television and start watching tom & jerry. Because your Statements doesn't make sense.

Other than the protection of lives and property, what is the business of police in a matter that is not their concern?
Are they now the mouthpiece of the FG to advise organized labour?
This is one of the reasons why there is a need for an independent Federal, state and LGA policing system which the same police IG had previously kicked against knowing it will reduce his powers to just Abuja!

Get your fact right , no serving senator earns less than 32 million per month , aside sitting allowance , Constituency Project allowance , and lots more.

Someone will become a senator and will immediately start earning 1.3 to 1.5 million naira but the civil servant that has worked his/her life out will be stocked in earning less than 100 K... Omo, we are not serious oooo

Wetin concern police and labour unions? The police that are supposed to be professionals in doing their jobs, will be blabbing and doing rubbish after eating scraps from under these thieving politicians table.

Namaster:
It is fast becoming apparent that the success of Lagos relative to other states in Nigeria is NOT due to the hidden genius of Tinubu or his political sagacity.

It's more likely to be a combination of favourable location, national investments, media hype and the willingness of its people to be subjugated.

Trying to intimidate workers with Police and lawsuits is DUMB! You cannot force people to work for wage that is not enough to live on.

The fact that Tinubu does not realise all these makes me question his ability to lead a country like Nigeria.

Just feels like he's losing control of every aspect of the country.

Your Second paragraph, is what makes Lagos what it is today, more importantly, It was also the Former capital of the country,

If Tinubu was a genius he would had put those nitel Towers and other important infrastructures to good use, after the Capital was shifted to Abuja,

let me stop here
