No enabling environment to practice. No light, facilities n enabling technologies to explore and develop space science and technology
you're telling me that NASDRA that are involved in multimillion dollars projects with China ,Russia and USA can't divert the funds to local development?

Also , revolutionary scientists like Tesla , Newton etc didn't have it easy as well ,they have to lobby for funds and resources before they become successful.

You probably don't know how civil service operates. It is an offense to divert funds. Funds meant for research can't be used to pay salaries etc and vice versa....it's called MISAPPROPRIATION of funds.

That would be in 4041 or 6062 .
We have refused to set aside stupid religious and ethnic sentiments and elect credible leaders in power.
Is it with such mentality that Nigeria would grow to be a space power?

Wrong statement 'on top of Sanctions and antagonism '
The Truth is that China has stolen almost,if not ALL the Western Countries -Secrets because each time a Chinese send their Men,to the West , either as Students or Personnel, they go there to Copy their Secrets home.
-For example,if you have 50 Chinese as Students,at least 30 of them are Secret Service, Copying all they have seen, with the Collusion of the Government of China.
No Sanction is placed on China, except those caught!
They are So Patrotic but can Nigeria be as Patrotic as the Chinese?
So, don't blame them.

Jesus, myself and my Naija colleague sitting here debating when Nigeria will get McDonalds while these ones are landing spacecraft on the far side of the moon.

Were we not age mates developmentally with these guys not so long ago (at least in the 90's and before they got Hong Kong back)?

Going to the moon is not a sign of stronger economy, even North Korea have been in the space 2 times last year ,more than Australia, Germany and France. that doesn't means North Korea have stronger economy than Australia,France or Germany.

NK in space? Please post your source here. Launching satellite into space is different from exploration in space.

flawed logic.

They all spy on each other and copy each other's technology, the West and East.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about. Sanctions were placed on Huawei to stifle its growth because they were giving the West a run for their money, remember?

I might have used the wrong word ,it should have been "can't use the fund" .

The research and development work can be done locally . Local implementation will just be added to their SWOT analysis.

Even when Nigerians don't have the expertise,we know Nigeria is deep into expats also they can copy OP paperclip .

There are many Nigerians working in space centres all over the world that can be recalled home .

Also, using expats is common in Nigeria,if they can be deployed to other fields like refinery ,finance , manufacturing , construction etc ,I see no reason why they can't be deployed to space exploration.

Recall home to do what? Do the Country have any advanced laboratory or ground station for space science and technology. Rocket science is not a text book technology, without investing in these facilities that bring about this innovation

When Dangote wanted to build his refinery, did he get the facility from thin air ? Was refinery science text book technology? Nigerians that came back home to lead big enterprises like in politics, finance etc are not different from the ones in rocket science .

Moreover ,it's not that NASDRA don't have any assets (intelligence, facility, human resources, funding).
