Quintessence44:Whoa! That's really impressive. Folks of all shades formed long queues just to taste her cuisines. Like the African-American travel YouTuber said, her food must be really good for people to queue up for several minutes like that. The tropical food crops that are eaten by West Africans are also eaten by Brazilians, so, I'm not gonna be surprised whenever they easily gravitate towards eating Nigerian cuisines. The Yorubas even took Akara, Moin Moin and more with them to Brazil after leaving the shores of West Africa in the 1700s (and especially the 1800s) on slave schooners. Till date, Akara (which is spelled as Acaraje) is a delicacy in especially Bahia where many well-documented Yorubas of from subgroups such as Oyo, Ijesa, Egba, and some Ijebus were taken to with the Yoruba culture and Ifa (Yoruba religion) being very prominent there. =>https://diywithjoy.com/the-influence-of-nigerian-cuisine-in-brazil-from-birth-to-pain-to-freedom/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jr5bdMT_7MQ @naijamanyoutube... After your initial trip to Bahia, you have to head right back to Brazil from the U.S. to interview this enterprising Nigerian woman (Lateefa) selling party jollof, dodo, and more at that food fair which takes place on weekends in Rio. Ask her what she used to hex (jazz) those people to queue up like that. Lol. This food-based thread is frontpage worthy. Okay, it's now on the frontpage. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Asiri1991: Then it will be good to say Igbo-drug traffickers in Brazil so that it will be clear which tribe is engaging in illegality in other countries giving Nigeria bad name and which tribe is engaging in positive ventures giving Nigeria a good name. No wonder the colonial met the igbos as "scavengers" and marauders in Nigeria not as an organised tribe like other tribes....that's why they had nothing like being an empire. Igbo are the bane of Nigeria's progress. ![]() 10 Likes 2 Shares |

The only reason all those white brazilians are buying it's so they can reverse engineer how the dishes are made to make and sell for themselves and drive the Nigerian out of market, watch Atlanta: Season 3, Episode 6; you'll see. Just jesting btw as they've got YouTube for that purpose ![]() 1 Like |
