They did not even think through the consequences of them shutting down the national grid which would plunged Nigeria into darkness .

They realized it was a big bleeped up when some political elites who used to support their actions back down their support and ask them to be realistic and not to be wicked adding more hardship.

Government could have prosecuted them for that act alone , but instead bring them back to the table with must or.

Ajaero is the most useless NLC president in Nigeria. Most of his actions are not well thought

Mistake Bawo? They should shut down everything. From the ports, to the refinery. Let them bring the nation to a halt.

The political elites you mentioned didn't fall from the sky. They are not above the average workers in any MDA.

I would rather suffer the little inconvenience than to support the large scale suffering in the country.

National grid has been shutting itself down almost every two months in the past one year so it makes no difference who shuts it this time as it is almost useless to most Nigerians who sleep in darkness daily.
helinues:

Mobilize? How many states did they take action yesterday?

If they are not interested to suspend the strike, then government should prosecute them for the deliberate saboteur of shutting down the national grid.

Simple as Abc

yes it was a success....please tell me all the Billions lost to canceled flight, shutting down banks, interfering with telecommunications, grounding of ports, lack of medication to patients and death of patients after shutting down the hospitals and power supply for those dependent on life support, not to mention loss of value borne by ordinary citizens due to lack of electtricity and shutting down the economy....the damage caused in the last 24 hours will take weeks to stabilize but if you count all these a success then I'm happy for you......👍🏾

100% Success. Government is back to the negotiation table.

National grid is small shot down everywhere we are together in this mess enough is enough 60k in Nigeria today is like 20k it can buy anything if it's b4 that price of things had not increased its manageable.....senators & top political office holders are collecting millions & they & the masses buy things from same market.....Nigeria flowing with milk & honey but only few people enjoyed it will others are in poverty.#operationshortdowneverywhere

You have mouth to talk because u are living at home with no qualms. If u were sick in the hospital on dialysis or emergency care u will appreciate the insensitivity of shutting down national grid more. So tell me, when the call off the strike, those who have died will they come back

Sorry sir. Are u even living in this country at all? Are u are typing this from abroad. Everyone knows that anyone setting up a business without provision of an alternative power supply is not just ready for anything serious. How many times do we have power? Work into any government general hospital and u will notice that between the morning to afternoon hours, there is no light. This is because they normally shut down their generators by that time. Private hospitals run mostly on generators. Some are now switching to inverters. So u say that because of they put off national grid holds no arguments because we don't even have power to begin with sir.

60k is unreasonable. 100k is fair.
The minimum wage issue lingered for too long. I support any step taken by Labour

Your FG that you said proposed N48k has raised the bar to over 60k . That's why it's called negotiation .

If FG no gree labour own, labour no go agree from Dem own so the only way to resolve the issue is to negotiate and agree on a wage and that's what the labour have done. And we Nigerians are happy.

The labour union won.

No one won, nobody lose, justice only prevailed.

lol you're listing price tables like the strike is what is going to bring down prices.....even if you want to say increase in minimum wage will make things more affordable, ill let you know right now you know nothing about economics.....rise in wages drives up inflation cause the market forces will see it as more money within the system which in turn will further drive up prices.....but continue quoting price tables up and down believing those prices will remain the same......🤣🤣🤣🤣

I agreed with you on this but none has ever said anything about the reality on the ground..economy.. Labour under the leadership of Ajaero are fools only asking for increase in salary. He is not addressing high cost of living and foodstuff and how soon or what is govt doing about cost of petrol per liter as in when is it coming down. What population of nigeria are salary earners? why borders are closed against importation of rice and others? what is happening to refineries ? These are the basic things d said strike should have address and bring down the govt base on this but salary increase that wud worsen d inflation.

The economic issues you listed, though crucial to the success of any economy, are beyond the pay grade of the average Nigerian civil servant. It's the responsibility of the masses to hold their leaders accountable, not the NLC.

When the politicians are ready to solve inflation, we the masses will know. But until then NLC should demand for fair renumeration for it's members.

If I am not mistaken, you should be amongst the few, yes so few who defended SW all through that end SARS palava.

At least, that one is far behind us. The shutting down of National Grid was inspired by same whatever that inspired those who wanted to destroy Lagos state during that protest.

Because virtually all Nigerians, at all levels, are opportunist crooks, casually dishonest element, blackmailers and glorified chancers.

This is why you'll want to buy a phone pouch and hawker will tell you it is 5k only to eventually accept 500 Naira.

Of course in civilised clime, no official national labour congress should behave as ours has done because they are expected to know the well-calculated figure, taking into account inflation etal, they want that they must then be close to in negotiation with government.

Only in Nigeria will the labour congress, that should conduct itself with integrity, act like opportunist street hawkers seeking to exploit the gullible.

Quick to call others dumb but you sound the dumbest with your talk.

Do you know any country's Labour congress that will make outlandish and completely unreasonable demand, like our NLC has done, that reeks of hidden agenda, opportunism, political compromise and vindictiveness?

To get government's attention, as you claim, our labour congress, officially mandated to act on behalf of workers in Nigeria, must act without integrity and moderstion to then appear worse than even brazen highway robbers?

Some of you cannot think before you talk clearly because, like Ajaero, compromised leanings has damaged your commonsense and basic reasoning ability..
