You know you are one of those ethnic bigots in this platform right?

When you people are ready, I mean the easterners and the westerners, we will know. Your tow regions have taken madness to a whole new level.

Is that why some people will support a gbajue president? grin

So how much is the minimum wage now? 100k?
Maybe you should read again and this time slowly.

The strike has been called off to enable the government and union members to continue with negotiation and in one week, a minimum wage higher than the N60k that the government proposed will be announced.

I don't know, but what I've seen in this forum is that people from your region and those from the other region are not ready yet for a new Nigeria. You guys are already defined in your mindset that nothing can make you guys act in the betterment of everyone and you'd rather pull each other and everyone else along with you.

Nigeria should break up or return to regional government according to the 6 geopolitical zones. Let everyone face their region so we can know who the real problem is.

DAILY POST earlier reported that the Labour Union said the suspension was to give room for uninterrupted meetings with the tripartite committee on the new national minimum wage.

once again, Labour has failed to stand its ground in order to push its agenda. "uninterrupted meetings" is no guarantee of results. meetings can be interrupted for the next 3yers just to waste time.... a tactic of the government

The federal government played smart. Which is one is "new minimum wage higher than 60k" That means it can be 61k. NLC shine your eyes. Insist that that Nigeria refineries must be operational few weeks from now.

It was foolish of labour to have suspended the strike after just a day.
Negotiations could have continued while the strike is still going on.
This is exactly what the FG wants.
Watch how they'd sponsor propaganda that the labour leaders are not serious with their demands.
The FG is not ready to pay any living wage.
The next time labour leaders call for a strike, the FG will sponsor another propaganda for people to boycott the strike since labour will not have the discipline to go ahead with it.

This isn't about supporting each other anymore, it's now a bragging rights battle of hatred among you guys. The truth is that while there are beautiful people amongst both tribes in real life doing business together, the politicians from both clans have weaponized the low class community among you for their selfish gains.

You are right about the doing business together in peace part.

But on the side of weaponizing tribal hate, no Igbo political player will do that. We always play the politics of love and inclusiveness. We show love to them and everyone, they are the people that has always been afraid if us, so chronically insecure that they are always attacking us whenever we have good news, they are the people alleging we hate them, without any evidence of hate, if you ask them what we did to them, they will say we said Lagos is no mans land, whole we never said so?

The FG is wise. They are aware of the growing anger in the land. They knew if this strike was allowed to go on, it would prompt civil unrest which would be difficult to manage.

But the issue is who and who will be beneficiaries of whatever government pays?. State workers have different negotiations, market women, artisans and business people have different negotiations, private sector is different but they shutdown National grid and hold everyone stand still? When agbero started Thier own owomida minimum wage saga and hold transport section standstill people will be making noise? Infact our problems in Nigeria just started.
