Negotiations could have continued while the strike is still going on.
This is exactly what the FG wants.
Watch how they'd sponsor propaganda that the labour leaders are not serious with their demands.
The FG is not ready to pay any living wage.

But on the side of weaponizing tribal hate, no Igbo political player will do that. We always play the politics of love and inclusiveness. The FG is wise. They are aware of the growing anger in the land. They knew if this strike was allowed to go on, it would prompt civil unrest which would be difficult to manage.

But the issue is who and who will be beneficiaries of whatever government pays?. State workers have different negotiations, market women, artisans and business people have different negotiations, private sector is different but they shutdown National grid and hold everyone stand still?
