Completely myopic. People world over migrate for many reasons, not only economic. The moment you lots open your brains to that perspective, the better you will reason when commenting on public issues.

Over to the Japa crew.....

All in all....man go sha survive...But please lets ensure we get "as much information as possible" before making a life changing decision.

seek information! seek information! and ask questions from far and near!

Re: Caregivers To Get Canadian Permanent Residency Status Upon Arrival by Cul4real(m): 7:57pm On Jun 05
That's correct! Canada has introduced a new program to grant permanent residency (PR) status to caregivers upon arrival, effective December 2022. This program aims to attract and retain foreign caregivers, addressing labor shortages in the healthcare and childcare sectors.

Eligible caregivers can apply through one of two streams:

1. Home Child Care Provider Pilot
2. Home Support Worker Pilot

Successful applicants will receive PR status upon arrival, allowing them to live and work in Canada permanently. This initiative aims to improve the livelihoods of caregivers and support Canada's economic growth.

Baba! are you a Bank manager planning to resign with the aim of packing one grandma poo?

And mind you, people japa categorically for "better life opportunities" either for a good quality of life, professional, career or academic.

So your response to me is vague.

And again, i find it appalling for professionals and managers with significant wealth and mentees here in Nigeria, resigning and travelling to be engaged in odd jobs and in some "demeaning" care-giving jobs.

Washing people's yansh is not new, my friend; it may bill and put food on the table for many people in a working society. If Nigeria were civilized, most of the population would work in the health care and social services industry.

Obviously you're not civilised the reason you find nothing wrong in cleaning old people's shiiits.

A society that only gives such roles to uncivilised foreigners like you is really working.

I'm not planning, I have, already, and it was the best decision of my life. You think everyone that japa came here to wash yansh? Delusional and dim-witted. Quite a huge number of Nigerins are climbing both professional and social strata gradually in a saner and "better life"....if it takes me to resign from a "faux" high level position in a country of chaos, lunacy, low quality of life, apprehension, poor healthcare, brazen show of power by politicians and breakfown of rule of law, high social injustice, lack of amenities, corruption ridden system(etc), very low life expectancy to a saner clime(not necessarily the sanest or the utopian perfect societies), high quality of life, where almost all works accordingly, common!!, the choice is glaring to the discerning. You need to ask yourselves why people who struggle to get out of the Nigerin universities go abroad and get first class in a jiffy..something must be wrong with the society that is continuously and increasingly ridden with corruption, nepotism, banditry, terrorism, tribalism, where quota system and religion stand on the heads of merit and excellence.

I have only 1 life to live, I don't know of other after, but this one, I chose to live it in a saner clime/better life and make the decisions for my future generation.
You can chose yours to remain to build and sacrifice your life for Nigeria, its your call. When you guys fix it, we will be back to enjoy the benefits of your hard labour and sacrifices.....but for now, I chose a better life.

Better stay in UK.

Canada is a no go area. The economic situation is daring and opportunities are limited compared to UK.

Even most of you reading this working in such jobs will never come on Nairaland to post vacancy in your firms for job seekers to take advantage of. No...you will not.

Most of you hear of such internal recruitments going on in your firms yet you will not come here and share in this anonymous forum because we will type your full name and your house address together with your birth certificate and say you are the one who posted it here abi?

You people should get out.

Stingy humanbeings.

Swallow your jobs.

Oneday, the job go tire you.

It's just a matter of time.

Canada is offering upgraded housemaid job to wash the yansh of their loved ones that comes with Permanent Residency (PR).

We will take the offer.

After all, shit no dey kill person.

Atleast, we will be in a better country with PR.

And God will direct our path from there.
