LoverOfPussy:This is a crucial WC qualifier game. You go for trusted legs that have built a chemistry for about 6 months to a year. Most of the NPFL players are being called up for the first time.Integration into the national team is gradual and not immediate.Hopefully, we get to see some of them from the bench especially Sodiq Ismael of Remo Stars. 1 Like |

LoverOfPussy:Ekoong has not played since AFCON. Omeruo is injured. Jamilu Collins is not in-form, struggled against Mali in our last friendly. |

Iโd rather Ndidi push to MF with Onyeka. Let Iwobi play as a 10 so heโs freed from defensive duties. Not sure about KC though. Heโs been bang out of form. |

EEGA: Nawa oo, Boniface really needs to be more serious than this comic relief caricature figure he poses as. If Onuachu and lookman who arrived barely three days ago and Iheanacho who had a subpar season could start ahead of him. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by EEGA: 6:51pm On Jun 07 |
Ndidi back in midfield as Frank Onyeka failed a late fitness test. Ihefu FC of Tanzania player, Benjamin Tanimu will now pair Semi Ajayi at Central defence. |

charlesemeka85:OGN say this has changed o, onyeka failed late fitness test, so Benjy starts. Not sure whether Ndidi stays in MF or CB or if we are now playing 3-4-3 or 4-3-3. |

LoverOfPussy: Prone to mistakes and they are not fast . It's already enough having Ajayi in centre back, since Ajayi started his career as a DM all you need was allow him push the ball more while playing him alongside a sturdy natural CB |

EEGA: We will miss the dirty works of frank the tank in this match. However Ndidi new found ability to be a B2B player will be helpful.Ndidi can now score and assist. |

M7even:Ndidi will be screening and shielding the defence today. He will be saddled with the responsibility of building from the rear alongside Wilfred Ndidi as our CB pairs are not ball-playing ones. |

EEGA: Iheanacho as a winger is bizarre. Why play two inverted wingers when you are starting a cross-and-nod striker? Who will feed in the crosses? Probably the wingbacks. I just tire. 4 Likes |

Perhaps we want Paul to be more of a hold up man to allow Lookman and KC cut in and score from the wing. I still would rather see Boniface get more minutes as I think heโs a longer term prospect to build with than Onuachu. |

EEGA:The question y'all should b asking is why Onuachu is starting ahead of Boniface, is he not fit enough or for tactical reason? because Boni is way better option than Onuachu |
